Ah nice. I have the nanoHD and was wondering about upgrading. I’ve ordered a new switch, but withheld from getting the AP. It’d be nice for my Mac to be able to backup over wireless higher than 1 Gbps.

Has anyone here got a U6-Enterprise? How are you finding it, what sort of Wi-Fi speeds are you getting?
1.6Gbps duplex using a Samsung S23 phone. 1.4Gbps duplex using an Intel AX210 in an HP laptop. Utterly pointless but the ePeen is there if you need that sort of thing.

It’s MASSIVE though. probably half as big again as the HDNano and three times the weight. It weighs a kilo all-in vs 300g-ish for the HDNano.

Ha, cheers. Never realised the size of the thing! I’ll have a ponder.

I need help identifying my slow network.
Wired I'm getting 3.5 mbps down 8mb uploads speeds on 1 gig virgin on my upstairs office

EDIT:
Wow. Just been through everything.
I had 2 cables going from one switch to another. Removed one and boom Back up to full speed.
Could this have been affecting the whole network or just the office.
We've also been having issues streaming downstairs.

A broadcast storm will cripple most networks. Although RSTP should have blocked the loop. What switches?
Two cheapo netgear 8 ports.. everything else is unifi stuff.

Seems a lot better since. But not fully tested.

But going from 3 Mbps to nearly 900 says something was wrong. Not sure why it's only recently happened.. or recently noticed..

Wonder if a reboot of something had stirred up an issue..

I cancelled my order and added a U6 Enterprise. I blame @RSR TBH.

That was the quickest one I have seen off my U6 Enterprise, I still need some 6E devices for testing.

So you tested the speed of your internet connection? OK. Now run some file transfer tests between devices. Preferably in the same room as the access point, because 6GHz is shocking at penetrating walls. These things are meant to be used in huge open plan offices. The in-wall U6-IW Enterprise is the one for every room.

I have been desperately trying to explain WiFi6E since these things were first mooted but folks always want the latest and greatest.

It'll be on the ceiling upstairs, I'll have to see what the performance is like as usually I sit in the kitchen with my laptop. The idea is to increase throughput to my NAS, for backups etc, also for large downloads over wifi such as games and OS updates.

I did say, I don't have any 6E devices so that's purely on a 6 connection.

Just pulled a file off my NAS to my Mac over wireless and that's consistantly over 70MB/s

I'm getting around 200 Mbps from my NAS at the moment, I need to look into my channels and setup to be honest. My AP outside used to get ~450 Mbps, I enabled outdoor mode and it's down to ~200 Mbps. Which for working outside and streaming music, is actually more than enough but I like big numbers...

Still having some issues with my network.
Struggled to stream to TV tonight. Wifi to laptops was terrible too.
If i do a Fast.com speedtest, Wired from PC I get 900-1gig initially. Then it drops during the test and can finish anywhere from 400 -600. However Samknows is down to maybe 3Mbps
Is that trying to tell me something.
I've rebooted every component.
Even the CCTV streaming to the DVR is struggling. Regularly losing connections

If it helps

Virgin.

Their service status shows no issues in our area.
Put the Modem in Router mode, connect directly to it with cable and see if the issue persists, if it does, it's likely to be related to congestion and/or power levels coming through the cable.

If not, put the USG back in and connect your computer to it and nothing else and check. If there's no issue, you know it's inside your network and you would have to check each subsequent device, changing cables if necessary.
