The later Centurions with the L7 105mm main gun would be entirely capable of taking out every thing the Russians can field up to the T-72.
I keep wondering if they are playing some sort of long con game with all this.
I keep having to ask myself "are they really this far behind in tech" WTF happened since 1991"

It also tells you the state those 10,000+ tanks Russia had in long term storage must be in (majority of which have been left outside in fields exposed to the elements for decades).

And they’re still not making ground. Good luck once our heavy stuff is in use. That said, as a soldier on the ground I wouldn’t fancy going up against any tank without armour of my own.

This is true and I doubt there’s a shortage of anti tank weapons in Ukraine.
Back on topic; US general Milley believes if Russia beats Ukraine and decides to push further into other countries it will be WW3 and to fight of WW3 would require the US to at least double its military budget from $850 billion to $1700 billion

I imagine they're not just going to let any old Tom, Dick or Harry into the cockpit. Most likely only those with prior combat experience and as such they should be more aware of the risks
