Well exactly, and who knows, Potter might not have been the right guy, but he earned that chance to find out. Probably doesn't help when his family are getting death threats from low iq fans.
 
Arteta didn't look like he was suffering from PTSD. He was quite clearly letting them know who the boss was. I don't think anyone got that feeling from Potter.
 
Yeah Chelsea is a poisoned chalice, no sane manager would take the job without assurances from the owner. Potter wouldn’t have done his reputation any harm and as bad as Lampard has been, he’ll still be in line for decent jobs in the future. Lampard needs to consider his next job very carefully or he’s in danger of ending his career before it’s began.

This is where the board play a big role, you show solidarity with the manager and the players get the message pretty dam quickly or they're out the door.

Bit tough when they are the ones selecting the players. A more established manager wouldn't have put up with that. It's incredibly rare the board backs a manager against the hundreds of millions of pounds of assets, which is why we see so many mangers sacked with the "lost the dressing room" comments.
 
Aubamayang must be up there with the best paid players in the world when you rationalise minutes played vs salary. Pogba is probably winning that at the moment. Maybe Phil Jones.
 
what about the person who may or may not be sigurdsson? He's been found not guilty, or they let him go with no charges or whatever, so, technically his club had suspended him pending outcome. Well that is surely not enough to say guilty ergo sfaik they need to pay his wages for the duration of his contract.
 
Regarding that Auba stat, to elaborate on it only 2 touches were inside the Arsenal half and the one that was inside the box resulted in a goalkick.

Auba has played 546 minutes in the league this season. By comparison, Phil Jones has under 300 minutes from the past 4 seasons combined.
