Depends a bit - the ammo fired from the bigger stuff like the C-RAM is fused to destroy itself minimising risk to those on the ground. For the most part though such systems wouldn't be used indiscriminately and mostly forward use in areas where there is already a risk or where the risk from the drone outweighs the risk presented by the bullets coming back down, etc.

I dunno, I think small drones will become a significant part of future warfare but I don't see them as the next überwaffen.

In some ways, this may be their peak. In the next war, they'll be something the enemy has planned and prepared for.

Its only a matter of time until the military find a way to shield them from electronic counter measures.

Being their one big weak point I would assume they are working on it

So if they dont think short term why were they saying the war would be over in 3 days at the start? Thats about as short term as you can get.

Problem was their 3 days turns into over a year and counting so this isn't by choice its by incompetency.
 
Some Russian air force activity but a bit late into the night compared to when they normally gear up for strikes and none of the usual sources reporting anything.

That's just the press. Nothing is unstoppable.

I bet that ends up in the USA within 48 hours. They will be dying to get their hands on it.

Putin will only withdraw when he has an excuse his people will accept. A cover story. Plan B. If things continue to go badly, then Putin will put plan B in to effect. The really worrying question is, "what is plan B?". Personally, I think it's most likely to be a nuclear disaster, and he will withdraw to save the lives of the Russian troops!! But, you know, make your own scenario up!!
