Peace is apparently impossible, then Trump shows up shaking hands with Kim Jong-un inside North Korea.

You guys must realise Biden isn't even trying to get a peace deal, one that would be good for Ukraine as well as Russia, he's not interested. He doesn't give a **** about inflation and food prices, let alone the thousands of dead soldiers and civilians on both sides, he's happy for the war to carry on because it weakens Russia and that's what the people in charge of America want.

So can you specifically detail what you think Trump achieved in regards North Korea.
The lasting legacy so to speak.

And then maybe you can suggest what you think Trump could do to achieve his peace in 24 hours. Just in simple terms, what strategy can you see that he can implement that would achieve what he says.
Because unfortunately like ever hes actually said nothing other than throwing out some bait for those dumb enough to still after all the evidence not question what he says compared to what he does.

This was a photo op that achieved absolutely nothing. No peace, no de-escalation, no denuclearisation. You are a grown adult, how can you possibly believe that was a win for Trump and the rest of the world?

Try again.

'Biden admin nudge led Ukraine to drop Putin condition for peace talks.'

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s new stance that peace talks with Russia can begin with Vladimir Putin in power was directly due to soft nudging by the Biden administration, according to two people familiar with the situation.

'Joe Biden Offered Vladimir Putin 20 Percent of Ukraine to End War: Report.'

The White House and the CIA have responded to a report that CIA Director, William Burns, offered Russian President Vladimir Putin a fifth of Ukraine's territory to end the ongoing war as part of a peace plan drawn up on behalf of President Joe Biden.

A CIA official told Newsweek that claims in the report from Swiss-German newspaper Neue Zürcher Zeitung (NZZ) that Burns took a secret trip to Moscow in January and that there was a peace proposal put forward by the director on behalf of the White House were "completely false."

Last month, Burns traveled in secret to meet and brief Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv, The Washington Post reported.

Burns is said to have submitted the plan in mid-January to put an end to the war, which began on February 24, 2022. The story was reported by NZZ on Thursday, citing high-ranking German foreign politicians.

Both Kyiv and Moscow reportedly rejected the proposal.

'Biden hears Zelenskyy's plan for peace with Russia during surprise visit to Kyiv.'

KAKISSIS: Zelenskyy also laid out his plan for peace with Russia. It includes giving Ukraine NATO-style security guarantees and forcing Russia to return Ukrainian territory it has taken by force. He suggested Biden likes his plan.

ZELENSKYY: (Through interpreter) We agree on most points of my peace formula. It's a security imperative to restore the U.N. charter and to defend an international order based on human rights.

And how did that go? before his term was out NK figured out how to wrap him around their finger. Trump being unpredictable and erratic had NK on edge at first but they eventually got the measure of him.

Biden would be wasting his time pursuing a peace deal unless Russia came substantially to the table first anyway, even a child could see that. Putin has repeatedly shown nothing less than capitulation is good enough for him and he isn't looking for an off-ramp as some repeatedly want to believe.

There is nothing more Biden wants than for Russia to pack up their bags, go home and we can move towards more normalised relations with Russia.

There is zero political capital in weakening Russia.

What your suggesting a desperate and nonsensical attempt to turn the US into the aggressors which we all know isn’t true.

Your Trump comment is such crap I’m not even going to waste my breath.

There is rumour that quite a few pmc's have been created, but not for the war. They will be fighting amongst themselves for recource control as that belongs to kremlin gang.

People have been saying the writing's on the wall for 1 year, 2 months, 2 weeks and 5 days. I really don't think people understand the resilience of a near dicatorship with such a huge population. People said just the same about Vietnam, Afghanistan, et cetera. Look how they turned out and how much money was wasted. And people blather about the cost of the Coronation.

The beginning of the end for the Russians it coming.
A tad premature for statements like that. They are hardly falling over themselves to get to the border. Just think back to how fluid the frontlines were 6 months ago. Just because the war has stagnated over the winter dosnt mean we are seeing the ending of this conflict any time soon. I'd like to share in your optimism, how ever I will stay my excitement till we start seeing large scale withdrawals, if they ever happen.

Time will tell.

The big question us how much pressure and death will the Russians endure, with the prospect of increasing international ostracism, even if they "win".

There's really no good long-term outcome for russia that I can see.
