Right now I'm wondering how I fell on my feet with my job after the very frustrating show in the NHS.
So chilled and I'm happy and I'm constantly pushing for more to be told I'm doing way better than the job I applied for so that's why I was promoted and doing well apparently. Post covid everything has changed and they weren't expecting me in the role so the time will come for further development but they're still in a transition.
 
So, 2nd full 3 week rotation working offshore, and I’ve managed to get fogged on the platform. Should have got off on Thursday, but now it seems the soonest I’ll be able to get off will be Monday now. Ironic, seeing as I gave up working deep sea to avoid just this scenario. Oh, and I’m missing a family holiday, to Anglesey this time, for the 2nd year in a row. It’s like some oddly specific gypsy curse “I curse you to spend the rest of your days paying for holidays you’ll never go on!”

Second to last time waking up in this bed, room, house.

Still feel like absolute crap and hacking up green chunks.

*Eats about 5 congestion relief pills*

We’ve had heavy fog and low cloud in the North Sea this past week, meaning the chopper’s haven’t been able to fly all week. I’m supposed to be getting off today, but thus far the helicopter that’s scheduled to come to us has been delayed, as the platform it was going to earlier was in fog, so it’s had to divert to Sumburgh to refuel, before going back to Aberdeen, dropping off it’s current load of passengers, then taking off to do our crew change.

Update: Flight cancelled as the helicopter’s now got a technical problem. :rolleyes:
