I don't think we've seen much Ukranian counter offensive action yet.Obvious any fighting will gain little ground either side, US intelligence knows this, at this point people are just dying needlessly for borders that will not change.
Russia could always cease and desist their illegal war and leave Ukraine. Its the best option for everyone.Obvious any fighting will gain little ground either side, US intelligence knows this, at this point people are just dying needlessly for borders that will not change.
Might as well just let Russia have it, right?Obvious any fighting will gain little ground either side, US intelligence knows this, at this point people are just dying needlessly for borders that will not change.
I don't think they will get it all back though (Crimea...) so I suspect it will end up in a stalemate / iron curtain situation.I don't think we've seen much Ukranian counter offensive action yet.

I think Russia is now dug in with 300,000 troops, the US military would be able to dislodge them but not much else. From a strategic point of view Ukraine would be risking a lot of men and equipment to fight the kind of large scale offensive required, which obviously comprises it's ability to defend the territory it still holds.
