Again, I don't know how anyone can look at the figures out out from Side A or Side B and not suspect they've been heavily fondled by Winston or one of his colleagues.

As for Ukraine topic, how can anyone take the image of world leaders gathering in suits and Zelensky turning up in a jumper as anything but pure theatre?
Yeah that's theatre to me, he might as well be changing his Facebook profile picture. He isn't a front line soldier, it isn't a sacrifice, it means nothing.

Why does what he wearing matter to you so much? This says more about you than Zelenskyy.
Of course there is going to be emphasis put on his apperance, his country is at war, he was also elected on an anti corruption platform. How would parading himself out in expensive suits in the middle of this conflict look to his people.
Regardless The man has displayed more courage and morals in his time as a leader than I have seen from any British PM in decades!

Dresses casually, gets criticism.

Dresses in suit, probably also gets criticism.

This is a weird thing to fixate on when they're at war and probably don't want to waste time on pleasantries.
Very weird indeed!

At the start of the war, Zelensky vowed to wear a beard and military colours until the war was over. I don't think that's theatre, it's a sign of solidarity with his people, and they appreciate it.
He and his family were also meant to be on a kill lost of the invading forces, hes been on the front lines regularly. The man hasn't been living a cushy life. If he wants to wear fatigues let him be.

I find it bizarre when people worry about what hes wearing.
So what, I mean literally SO WHAT!?
Like the nut job republicans who were saying it was disrespecting. Honestly grow up and stop playing politics when its irrelevant.

I think many feared he would not be up to the job at the start, well he's certainly put all them into their little boxes.
Its almost like he's showing up a load of the career politicians as how bloody useless they are BECAUSE they care about politics more than getting on and doing the right thing.

If Rishi turned up in shorts and Hawaiaan shirt I would still expect him to be going on about his 5 (misplaced) things HE thinks we all care about.
He would still be off topic and wrong. But I may have more time for him to go look the shirt and tie is an irrelevance.
Its not the 1800s where you respected someone more for wearing a suit as it showed the have money.

I think, thank god, most people are throwing off the shackles off the nonsense that was clothing importance.
We have a senior guy at work (EVP) who turns up wearing Nikes whilst simultaneously we are arguing with the Sales Director who wants the employees to not arrive and go home in shorts and Tshirts as it may look bad to customers.
These are people who have to change on site into work provided wear and are not allowed to wear this clothing to go off site.

He's not pretending to be a front line soldier, he's not even wearing a military uniform. Do you think that wearing poppies on Armistice Day is mere 'theatre' too?

*Biden: Russians Have Suffered Over 100,000 Casualties in Bakhmut
*Biden: Has a Flat Assurance From Zelenskiy That Ukraine Will Not Use F-16s to Go Onto Russian Geographic Territory

*Zelenskiy: Ukrainian Troops Remain in Bakhmut, City Not Captured by Russia
*Zelenskiy: I Am Confident Ukraine Will Receive F-16 Fighter Jets

But I believe the death rate is way lower. The rest have injuries - splinters, red-eye, things like that.

One post where I mention = fixating. Truthfully, I don't really care about it at all, I simply find it interesting.

Why does what he wearing matter to you so much?

It doesn't. I typed a few words in to my phone about an observation while replying to someone else to ensure my post was somewhat on topic and pressed submit. If - to you - that means I super care then I can't help you.

That fact that this has kicked up a few quite a few energetic replies is way more interesting than the thing I was observing.

A little bit, yes. I certainly don't pretend it means a lot.

One I've found weird recently is the increasing proliferation of mesh running shoes in formal settings for example like https://www.amazon.co.uk/Under-Armour-Superior-Traction-Workouts/dp/B095KW7CJF though I know 1-2 suffer from foot or back problems which make wearing formal shoes somewhat difficult but still, when someone is wearing a suit and a pair of something like that it still looks a little odd to me - though personally it doesn't bother me either.

Yet you care enough to reinforce your view over multiple posts...

On the Russian side often those injured just get left as well, which massively increases the KIAs compared to a more conventional scenario where more would get medical attention.

Replying to posts saying I super care with an explanation that I don't = super caring. I presume also not replying would imply I do care. You are funny.

If we're counting posts then you posted about it 3 times before my reply. So yes, you are fixating on it.

Don't really get your point, but it's not getting much support so perhaps it's just being called out for what it is, a pointless distraction.

how do the UK tax payers feel about paying Ukraine 10 Billion and more during a cost of living crisis, where 1 in 4 families cannot afford food and clothing, 1 in 3 with children being affected, wouldn't that 10 billion plus help UK tax paying citizens during this tough time?

Same thing with America, they issued like 80 billion already.

Sorry, I forgot there was a particular message to be distracted from. Reported the OP to the mods so they can edit the title to include "no distractions" so that we can avoid talking about any topics not deemed on message.

I feel happier spending my tax money in Ukraine helping to defend a country than some gov department ******* it up the wall here in the UK.
