OCUK RTX4060TI review thread

"Wow, incredible showing from Nvidia, the 4050Ti is getting close to the 3070 performance and only costs £250. What an amazing generation on generation bump in both performance and value."

"Huh, what do you want, I am trying to film my conclusion here.."
....
"What do mean its a 4060Ti and not the 4050? My notes say 4050.."
....
"Wait, it costs WHAT?!"

*checks notes*

Oh **** off..

Jay seems to have really taken his eye off the ball recently.

I speak from personal experience when your health is bad, it impacts everything. I think he’s been losing it for a while, I’m not saying it’s all down to that, but who knows what he’s dealing with.

Said he's recovering from an operation or im guessing he's gonna be off it for some time, but it just goes to show he really needs to take control again or may reviews like that are gonna come out without him finalising it first.

Yes he should have final say on all content before it's released, it's his reputation after all. There should have been some discussion as the results came in too. Not really a surprise either as most could guess at the performance from the existing cards and the price was known. His thing was always the water cooling but that's a bit niche to make a living out of it. He needs some new blood to shake things up a bit.

Yeah i agree, i haven't really watched any of his stuff lately as its just the same stuff as everyone else is saying. I personally would love to see him go back into more niche products in the watercooling market, but yeah i understand that's a very small segment in the pc world to make a living off.

Abit like how Dazmode does only watercooled stuff, i use to watch his stuff all the time then he fell off the map probably cos he couldn't keep it up.

massive F, my only hope is they at least make a 4060 ti itx card this time, the 3060 i have has terrible performance. no doubt all the AIB's will stick unnecessarily giagantic coolers on them for no reason at all.

From what i've seen so far, the pcb seems to be tiny and with such a low power draw we should see twin fan variants or even single fan.

It wasn't JayZ, it was some fanboy.
But if Jay had endorsed the slant, then he should he called out because he's complained in the past.
Yea i know that's why i said "JayzTwoCents review" and not JayZ but i probably should've been clearer that i was referring to the review itself and not Phil, apologises.

I would've expected Jay to have at read over the script or watched the video before it going live but having listen to the follow up video he didn't do that, granted he's just had a major OP so may not have been in a state to green light the video but that's a lot of responsibility to put on poor ol' Phil's shoulder if so.

Yep. They got real greedy.

Everything should be knocked down a tier

4080 - £800
4070Ti - £600
4070 - £400 - 450
4060ti - £250 - 300

Essentially they all need to move to the price slot of the card below them.

Not sure about the 4090 as halo cards are always weird price wise.

That would be a much more palatable line up.
Pretty much bang on, at those prices it would represent a somewhat decent option for every price bracket targeted here (and I'd probably be tempted to shell out for a 4080)

Also agree with you on the 4090, nothing wrong with having a semi-ridiculously priced halo card, but it's not an excuse to push the entire stack up 1-2 tiers in price
(not to mention that there's still plenty of room in between the 4080-4090 specs for a mid-point 4080ti SKU)
