It is respectful of the country to refer to it correctly. Not a minor grammatical error.

It is respectful of the poster to refer to the context of their post, not the minor grammatical error or spelling mistakes they may have made.

The reality is that it's the "right" that are largely in support of Russia and their propaganda, while the "left" are largely in support of Ukraine, the Ukrainian people and their desire to still exist as a free country.?

Why are you seemingly so desperate to distract from this by focusing on my grammar rather than the content of my post?

I was just moderately amused at his contortions trying to make a left right split on support for Ukraine and then making an unfortunate but possibly forgivable error in naming of the country. It was worth noting.

As a right minded individual, I am 100% in support of the actions of Ukraine in defending their country. As I am sure the huge majority of the Conservative party in the house and the country.

What a few republicans do as contrarians in America is not left right stances but anti the current president of the USA rather than pro Russia. Left and right don't work in the states as it does here, they are all more right wing than we are.

Johnson was a leading actor in supporting Ukraine, Corbyn less so. As examples only.

I was making no attempt to make a left-right split. That was already done by the previous poster(s) whom I was replying to.

It was very noticeable that the same old names came out of the woodwork to instantly try to counter the comments about "the right" willingly choosing to ignore the "bad bits" as long as something aligns with their existing views.

They just couldn't help themselves with a "yeh but, the left do it too!"

So I rightly took the opportunity to point out that in the case of the Ukraine Conflict (of which this is the very thread for discussing it) the "left" are overwhelmingly in support of Ukraine, while the "right" are parroting Russian propaganda on national TV (Fox News etc..)

It's so transparent it's painful, what's next... "It takes one to know one?"

Seriously....

No idea what's going on in this thread, but actual (Sky) news, maybe:

'Russia has claimed that one of its warships has been attacked in the Black Sea by Ukraine.

It says the attack on the ship - the Ivan Hurs - was carried out by what it describes as uncrewed speedboats near the Bosphorus Strait.

In a statement posted on Telegram, the defence ministry said the warship had been protecting the TurkStream and Blue Stream gas pipelines at the time.

The pipelines carry gas from Russia to Turkey, partly across the Black Sea.

"All enemy boats were destroyed," the ministry added.

No comment was immediately available from Kyiv.

The ministry cited the attack as a justification for Russia expanding defensive measures in the area.'

He saw it all coming. If only many other politicians hadn't been so short sighted and I very much include Obama in that.

I think people vastly underestimate in this the last bit he says "He cannot afford to see a free, democratic, prosperous Ukraine, because the Russian people then would like to be like Ukraine" because that is a death sentence for Putin.

That is why he will expend almost anything to keep Ukraine a ruined state.
