Does anyone honestly believe the Russians would have allowed 20 or so drones to fly all the way from Ukraine to Moscow without being intercepted long before they got to the target.
No, these drones are a false flag attack. It now gives Putin all the ammo he needs for full mobilisation.
They can't even defend their own boarders, they use their own tanks to Incept anti tank missiles, they have one aircraft carrier that's so badly maintained it comes with its own tug boat. So for me it's not outside the realms of possibility.

Allowed no but Russia often doesn't trust their own AA systems, especially the higher end systems - which are actually very capable but also very capable of going spectacularly wrong - it wouldn't be the first, second or 3rd time they brought down an airliner or other friendly aircraft by accident or had missiles go 200 miles off-course. So those systems are often offline or only partially active.

That said it also benefits Putin in terms of mobilisation so wouldn't rule anything out.

I've been wondering why I haven't seen videos of dpr/lpr forces in a long time. Turns out that's cause there may not be much or any left

The Iran/Iraq war proved the effectiveness of human wave attacks. It's inefficient and politically unpopular, but it's great in a war of attrition. Iraq only prevailed thanks to support from the West.

There are a few possible theories in my head for the drone attack in Moscow.

1. False flag.
2. Ukraine testing Russian air defence, assuming that batteries close to the border or in occupied areas may pop up to take them out and allow HARM usage.
3. Morale, showing that they have some capability and reminding Russia that even Moscow isn't out of reach. Which puts additional pressure politically inside of Russia at a time that the counter offensive is planned to begin. The more the Russians have to think about, reduces the ability to correctly react to the situation.

One of the problems with the likes of Russia and China - in many areas they are prepared to utilise things undesirable, unpalatable or unthinkable to those used to a comfy life in the West. IMO it leaves us somewhat unprepared for instance they'd have no problem using say civilian airliners either cargo or maybe passenger in a first strike (conventional or nuclear).

And there it is. No longer a participant in the iCC, South Africa can flout international law at her leisure.

I think these options are all plausible. It's very hard to know what's happening right now.

I wonder what happened to the Chechen TikTok brigade. Haven't heard from them in months.

I thought they were supposed to be reinforcing Bakhmut LOL - suddenly went all quiet on that front. Some of them seem to have been used as barrier troops to prevent Wagner leaving possibly but seem to have disappeared again despite some of the mouthing off.

Ukraine benefits from the war escalating, I think Zelensky has noticeably tried to emulate Winston Churchills tactic of dragging America into the war - understandable from his point of view since realistically that is the only way he can win. These attacks on Moscow are closer to the Doolittle raids than anything serious, but Ukraine should realise they risk alienating countries that support them if they attack Moscow.

Who did you copy and paste this from?

Strange notion
You could argue it benefits their current government and nationalists. They started the mess in the first place.
Also weapons manufacturers all across the world are having a field day.

But how can it benefit people of Ukraine? Economy? Every day people are getting killed and property is getting destroyed and who would want to speed that up?

When I say Ukraine, I mean their government and it's desire to regain control of East Ukraine which they've been fighting over since 2014.

An escalation in the war for the Ukraine government would ideally mean NATO airstrikes and cruise missiles defeating Russian forces in Ukraine.
