If there's a new iOS there's usually a new iPadOS which I hope there is. I'd expect a new WatchOS too but agree other than that it's all speculation.

I imagine the speculation on AR/VR will be wild on the build-up to this.
 
Yes, I still sort of think of iPadOS as just being the same as iOS so you're right, there will be one of those as well, along with watchOS. Probably tvOS and homepodOS also :)
 
Wonder if they'll update StudioDisplayOS too :D OS for absolutely everything.

Part of me wants iPadOS to be lots different to iOS though.

I wonder if we'll see any hardware this year? Would be nice to see/hear some updates of the Mac Pro though...

Supposedly the unveiling is being delayed until later in the year, if you believe the articles floating around today.
Saying that, i can see it going the same way as the G4 Cube...
 
Apparently WatchOS 10 is going to be some big revamp. I'm not sure what I think of that possibility, I like how my Watch is currently.
 
Plenty of rumours suggesting the MacBook Air 15" will release. Not sure how I feel about that with the current price points vs 8GB RAM and 256GB of (slower) storage as the baseline. Both of those need doubling.

Well it seems for the users that the Air is aimed at, 8GB unified memory is perfectly capable. I agree that space should be 512GB minimum though.

Yea true, my own M1 Air with 8GB RAM handles absolutely everything without issue. If it's swapping, I've never noticed. Though to be fair, I'm not the heaviest of users.
 
I wonder if the new iOS will have the ability to remove the camera quick access from the Lock Screen? One of the most annoying functions that I accidentally activate quite often and take photos of the ground / nothing.

Mines the flashlight, don't know how many times I accidentally blind people or leave it on because thumb it by accident. Not actually looked if you can remove it already though, so maybe I'm just behind the times.
 
I may well sign up for a developer account after WWDC. I've wanted to make an iOS app for a long time, and this seems like the right time to get involved.
 
So following on from my last post in this thread, I'm considering signing up for an Apple developer account. I don't want to install the developer beta as my primary operating system because I need my computer to be stable. I wondered if Apple allows you to install the developer beta in a virtual machine (I own VMWare Fusion Pro). That way, I can test the new operating system without causing problems with day-to-day stuff.

Edit: Hmm. It seems VMWare doesn't support macOS VMs. I'd have to get Parallels instead.

I haven't tried virtualising more recent versions of macOS in Parallels but you can definitely do older ones. I still have a Mojave VM on my iMac which I keep for just one specific application.

Just over eight hours to go until the keynote.
