I thought they were looking at using the seized funds of Russias wealthy individuals to help pay for the rebuild of Ukraine.
What happened to Abramovich's funds from the Chelsea sale for example. That would go a nice way to paying for a city rebuild in Ukraine. (A bit of googling suggests the funds from the sale are frozen in a UK bank account).
ending the war is one thing but then there is the matter of reparations. Russia have properly messed up imo.
how many billions will it cost to rebuild Ukr? and who pays for all of that?
Sorry if I'm not keeping up. My big worry now is Wagner being genuinely annoyed at military tactics, shaming Russia as a weak force, and eventually returning to the front line with full backing (to save Putin's political face) and tactical nukes. I think Prigozhin is probably smarter than that, knowing it's a red line (we say!) but an unstable Russia might make NATO even more cautious than it's already been. So it might give him an opportunity to stabilise the current land grab and come out a "hero".
I want to enjoy what's going on, but it's making me really nervous. It is, however, better than them all working together effectively and smashing under-resourced Ukrainian forces. That I'm temporarily happy with!
I'm nervous as hell too and in complete agreement with you as I imagine many here are, but as a previous poster mentioned this is probably good for Ukraine. I mean at worst this is a great tactical distraction? or it could be the first real steps towards an apocalyptic event. Who knows, Morior invictus.I want to enjoy what's going on, but it's making me really nervous. Love it!
Did you not see. Lol.Well not true at all. The Russian army is much bigger with lots more assets. Then the air force etc also in play. Russian army and national guard need to defect or stand down for this to work.
Prisoners with nothing to loose with combat experience and knowing they will be killed if they surrender etc makes it good though
