Summer Transfer Window 23/24

There must be some decent midfielders Liverpool can get for £50-60m who are actually keen to join?
I'm not actually sure where Liverpool go from here, they seem to have given up on the likes of Thuram, Kone and Gravenberch, which makes me think that whoever they get in will be someone from out of leftfield but to be honest, a sizeable part of me thinks that they wont sign a DM in this window at all and will stick with what they have

Really? Buying no one would be Klopp’s worst managerial decision since joining

It honestly wouldnt surprise me. I half expect Liverpool to add to the defence now, and patch the DM with Thiago and Bajcetic until January and then reassess, its not what I want of course, its merely that I would not be surprised if thats what happens.

We just need to go a step down the food chain. Chelsea are following us around and pinching our targets. Can we do the same to Brighton?

You’ll have to fight Chelsea off, they love coming after Brighton personnel!

Love how well run the club is, seem to have a replacement targeted no matter who goes/when they go. On the ball.

The thing I find quite interesting from Boehly and the Chelsea board is that they are willing to pay big upfront and commit to incredible long term contracts (2031... jeez) and yet these players are young and only human - there's a real potential for them to flop, fail, suffer from injuries and or want to leave at a whim and then it just becomes a problem trying to shift them on.

They're certainly doing it their own way on this one it feels and a bit football manager-esque from the billionaire boys club... Will be interesting to see how this pans out.

Remember when liverpool laughed at arsenals bids for suerez

They cant say they are any better this season
How are they comparable? We bid on a player he just decided to go elsewhere after being offered double the wages, totally different to you guys offering a quid more and getting told to do one..

Seems Chelsea have been looking at lavia for just as long as we have, they are rumoured to have offered 55 which was rejected

Why did Liverpool leave it so late in the window?

Fab and Henderson leaving most likely left them in a bit of pickle but they must have known about it mid July and it is mid August now.

failure to hit CL this year may prove devastating for them when sponsors get cold feet.

It’s a humongous gamble imo. If it goes wrong, they are gonna be in such an awful position that it could take well over a decade to recover from

Southampton told liverpool from day one what they wanted for lavia 3 bids later from liverpool still short of what they wanted and how many weeks and weeks have passed? should have nabbed lavia weeks ago

Now season has started and your still short and lost another target to chelsea

Liverpool are very efficient in the market when it's a long-term and well-planned signing. That's why they acted quickly for Szoboszlai and Mac Allister. Similar to Gakpo, Nunez, Diaz, etc...

With the defensive midfielder it wasn't part of the immediate plans, so they're become headless chickens.

Lavia favours a move to Chelsea, why wouldnt you when they offer lifetime contracts. Ridiculous by Liverpool, should have been done weeks ago.

With both Lavia and Caicedo favouring a move to Chelsea over Liverpool, it's very likely due to wages. Liverpool are probably not willing to pay high wages for players at this age.

Told us 50 yet rejected 55 a few days ago. I expect the price would have kept creeping up
