Hmm so who could have wanted him dead?

* Belarus? Cementing power with Putin, removal of a threat to power hold and balance in the army in Belarus
* Africa? Removing the threat to stability
* Russian army heads? Removing the threat to them and making them look bad
* Putin? well no surprise given the mess
* America? no surprise given he's destabilising Africa and a loose cannon
* China? as he's attempting to control resources in Africa that that the Chinese would like
* World population? As he simply kills...

Quite surprised it wasn't a multi-national effort...

But re the coup or uprising or whatever I got the impression it was stopped as the Chechen army wanted to put down the coup, or try to.

It just came across to me that when those forces were en-route to engage Wagner everything kind of stopped.

Was a lot of layers to it - I don't think Prigozhin was intending to go up against Putin directly, they failed to capture their first main target (forget who it was), I suspect Prigozhin was hoping Zolotov would side with him (head of Russian national guard) as they are/were quite friendly but Zolotov stayed loyal to Putin. When it was clear they weren't going to get the result they wanted of removing various heads of the armed forces, especially Shoigu, they gave up. Prigozhin claiming so as to avoid spilling the blood of his fighters and engaging properly with Russian forces.

I dunno the size and power of the Chechen forces en route but Prigozhin had at least 2 possibly 4K experienced fighters with him and another ~4K advancing ahead so unless the Chechens fully mobilised they wouldn't have been much of a match.

Going to be interesting to see what Wagner do now. They've lost a lot of heavy kit apparently after the coup attempt so this might give the Russian military the excuse to wipe them out if they try to cause trouble.
 
not sure where I read it and so can't link a source.... but I am sure I read somewhere Prigozhin stopped when his family were threatened........ IF this were true that does show a huge lack of foresight given that would have been a pretty obvious.play by Putin if he had not squirreled them away somewhere.

Priggy has predicted a night of St. Bartholomew. It looks like he started the trend himself as well. Such a person of great ambition.
Ex KGB Sergey Jirnow was claiming that Priggy was executed long time ago and wagner commanders were arrested. Once they took majority of weapons from them they could do what they wanted with them. His last video that has been uploded from Africa was an old one as well.

C4 programme on air force 'top guns' showed intercept of a russian politician jet accompanied by two su fighters near border,
don't know how their politicians jets are typically accompanied (even Biden?) - but flying has to be risk for Putin that a pilot/gnd force gets trigger happy - soft underbelly,

▪️Flightradar reported that the business jet decreased its altitude by 2.4 km in 30 seconds, maintained its altitude for a few seconds, and then started to fall and crashed;
▪️The plane was almost certainly destroyed on Putin’s direct orders. The shooting down of the plane by the air defense system could have been a demonstrative retribution to the “Wagnerites” for the losses of the russian aviation during the rebellion, — ISW

I agree, I am not at all unsympathetic for the crew who died............ add those to the 1000s of innocents killed in this invasion.

colour me cynical however that it just happens to be a pretty lady who is getting the post on twitter and has all the sympathetic replies...... am not sure if it was me photod with my middle aged beer belly that anyone would take any interest at all ;)
