Just read that a dlss 3.0 mod has been released sending frame rates sky high for Nvidia cards .

Anyone tried it yet?
Works for me, Gamepass version. RTX 4070, 5120x1440 ultra and smooth as.

A little tearing for some reason, but cba fixing it atm, enjoying the game :)

GOTY is not decided by DLSS, HDR or FOV. Look at Elden Ring (a game I didn’t like) because it was GOTY and only had HDR and was a bug ridden mess on launch.

Starfield has no game breaking bugs for the majority and looks way better than something like Elden Ring IMHO. For me though BG3 edges it for GOTY
Quite right on the GOTY factors, for me, GOTY should be decided by things like writing, story, gameplay, multiplayer, stability, replayability and its impact on the gaming world.

All year I have said that GOTY will likely end up being between BG3 and Starfield, which one a person picks is going to be down to personal tastes. For me, BG3 will almost certainly be my GOTY (not least for the impact its had on the gaming world, setting a new bar for the genre, creating almost a pre-BG3 era and a post-BG3 era for expectations of games), many will pick Starfield as their GOTY. As usual when December comes I will do my annual personal GOTY thread and it will be interesting to see what people pick as their GOTY. Its actually been a pretty good year for gaming so theres a lot of choice , Returnal, Dead Space Remake, Remnant 2, Resident Evil 4, System Shock, Hogwarts, Diablo 4, Jedi Survivor, Armored Core 6, Dave the Diver, Ratchet and Clank, Octopath 2, Age of Wonders 4, Baldurs Gate 3, Starfield

And still Alan Wake 2 and Cities 2 to come. Been a good year :)

I’ll pick this up with the peasant game pass crew. Am I right in saying there’s no DLSS out of the box for 3080 TIs?

The AI NPC who's helping me (Sarah) is funny,

I went onto someone's ship and murdered everyone on it, she's like "I CANNOT BE A PART OF THI..." "well they won't be needing that anymore"

It's not too janky though,

The robot is my favourite, but yes, lots of varied dialogue options depending on the situation. They’re a useful distraction in combat and most useful for carrying all the extra stuff. Probably the biggest annoyance is their ‘transfer all’ button that seems to also take their ammo leaving them melee only - and also not having an option to switch to their inventory when trading, you can for yourself and your ship, but seemingly not companions? Lots of QoL updates needed.

BG3 has less scope in the actual development of it.

From what I read, BG3 doesn't do anything innovating.

It just ticks all the boxes for people into that kind of game.

100%. It had already inherited a system (D&D), it is cartoony and turn based. It also has a significant amount of bugs that stopped me from doing things in the game and progressing so I have parked it until they can finish it.

I mean it’s downright bizarre to even compare the two. Personally I wouldn’t touch BG3 because it would bore the crap out of me, but each to their own. Not surprised by that poster though.

I actually wish the mods would do their jobs so that we can actually just talk about THIS game in this thread. At this point I’m finding Reddit more useful and that’s really saying something. The trolling allowed here is bizarre.

Another tip, but if your ship cargo is full and you don’t want to turn it into a flying potato, then unlimited storage can be found in your safe in the lodge. Useful for crafting resources.

Was gonna ask about this, ive filled my ship with resources and literally ran out of room!

Is there any way to pull a map of the city? When i press M in the city, it just shows me a blue map with white dots on it. Nothing actually useful to tell me where shops are etc.
