I just think RB are arrogant enough to think they can keep treating Perez like dirt, whilst enabling Max to be so far ahead of everyone else it doesn’t matter what Perez does. They just want to win the constructors and WDC and with the setup they have currently, it’s fine.

Why I say arrogance - is because if any team gets closer next year they’ll need a proper second driver to protect leads, do alternative strategy and pick up the points for the constructors. But RB won’t realise that until it happens.

Absolute moronic drivel, week in week out.

Thanks for the quote (as always) but the thread has moved on you realise? All I’m saying is RB will keep Perez until the championship gets closer - in which case his poor performances will actually matter and they’ll get rid of him. Prove me wrong.

Sargeant wasn’t happy that stroll caught up in the car damage costs leaderboard last weekend

His season has really got to **** in the last few races. First half of the season he may not have been setting the timesheets ablaze but he wasn't dumping it into the wall at every opportunity. I get the impression he has been pushing too hard to try and get results and ended up finding the wall instead.

Another weekend another Logan Sargent car to rebuild, I understand giving him until the end of the year but he looks out of his depth, will be surprised if he's there next season.

He kept his foot in after he started heading for the Techpro… He best be bringing in a small fortune in sponsorship as he’s breaking the new parts as fast as the Williams factory can make them.

Sargent's car is running older parts, not what Albon has. The interview with James Vowles suggested parts are not a problem- yet...

Mercedes looking rubbish here. Doesn't look like they have much chance of a podium here. They do tend to be better in the race though so they might be able to have a go at the Ferraris

McLaren have embarrassed Mercedes with how far they have progressed. They seem comfortably the faster car now.

Max in an absolute league of his own. No point watching tomorrow to see who wins!

Sargent needs to go. He looks really poor compared to some of the other rookies this season.

Its a shame perez is in the red bull as it would be nice to see how fast max is. Hopefully next year he gets some.

Vowels said the other day that they have a good idea of Lawsons ability based on his performance in F2 relative to Sergeant, he basically suggested there isn’t much difference between the two in terms of pace.

Did not sound like they were at all interested.

Yes he does. His family are billionaires and Williams received 30m for him driving their car from his backers and sponsors.

His uncle is, but that money wasn't available to back Logan's junior career to the extent needed. That's why he didn't advance to F2 at the same time as Piastri.

And every driver has sponsors. We're not talking Stroll, Mazepin, or Latifi here.

It's a fair point, there was only a point between them in '22 in the same team, and Lawson had a full season behind him and Logan didn't.
