PC Due a upgrade me thinks :D

I know i new motherboard and CPU might be the best but i just don't have the funds for a whole new system.
trust me i would love to.. i don't plan to upgrade my GPU anytime soon,

should i save up and wait !!
This is my point, AM5 is more affordable now...

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £466.92 (includes delivery: £7.99)

Plus you get starfield which you could sell. (Probably about £25.) - That makes it £30 more than the 5800x3d and ddr4 ram from here.....

Plus sell your 2700x/board/ram and still get a half decent amount back.

i like the idea of this, i not fussed about windows 11 but would this motherboard support it?
also selling my old parts would allow for a cpu cooler and new nvme ssd.

Yes it would support Win11.

The CPU comes with a stock cooler, but I would recommend upgrading it to something from Thermalright like others suggested, they are very good and cheap too.

@Oddney parts are available elsewhere (google is your friend)

i know i can get other places but i have been wrong in the past and ended up with parts i couldnt use lol.

found a site that sells the motherboard for 100 cheaper. that has to be a scam!

Would only use reliable companies personally, if OcUK is out of stock then look around sure others will have the bits you’re missing. Could email them to check if stock is due soon if you are really keen to buy from OcUK

I would recommend against an Asus Prime AM5 board. They haven't been well reviewed.

If your budget is up to £1,000 I'd spend the extra £50-60 and get something like an MSI Tomahawk B650 board.

Place you get FE cards is reliable..I'm with @Tediore ..not a fan of the prime mobo.
If budget an issue the riptide at 179 has better vrm's, supports 3 nvme, 1xpcie5, 1x4,1x3. Going up to £200 and you have the tomahawk, Gigabyte gaming x ax or tuf gaming wifi...£240 will get you the Asus strip gaming f with pxie5 for gpu and nvme.
Hardware unboxed do a good summary of all the b650 boards
