Small Car Only

Thought someone might mention this car.... sat in one and my knees were right up against the steering wheel.....
Right....
Supportive yet comfortable seats are easy to get in and out of thanks to wide-opening doors and a slightly higher position within the car than other superminis
Can't imagine they would be that easy to get in and out of if the steering wheel was in the way as you describe...

plus I'm not 80 years old..... need a bit a street cred for my kids...
Because an UP Looks so much better than a Jazz Sport?:

Because you are clearly a driving god? Dab of Oppo to solve it I guess?

If in doubt, power out. Have you not seen Fast and Furious XVIII bro? :D

While it has no street cred, the Fiat Panda 4x4 is cheap and cheery, easy to get in and out and can handle mild winter conditions we get.

Also, when it snowed last, a group of us were laughing at all the fake 4x4s stuck on a small railway bridge near my local

its not a car i would want personally however for ease of getting in and out of, Honda Jazz has to be worth a look.

edit already suggested sorry........ i am surprised you cant fit in one, my mate has one and it doesnt seem that small to me.

no argument about lack of street cred however ;)

OP has already made his mind up on the UP so pointless making any other suggestion

Have you considered an EV? An i3 could work, especially if you can charge at home and it's not your only car..

When it comes to back comfort so much is in the seats regardless of ride quality (to some extent). The tyres make a difference as well - a lot of budget tyres either move around too much transferring every jolt or are too firm transferring a constant harsh contact with the road.

Interesting as used an MX5 daily on a 60 mile commute for 5 years and that included some bad winters.

It was terrible in the snow and ice, to the point i prefered to take a gutless FWD Clio with pizza cutter tyres on.

I also found mine (previous gen mx5) bad in the snow. Even the Elise is much more stable.
