Makes me laugh all you angry little pant wetters harping on about curtailing your rights to break the law and yet are probably the first ones to moan about cyclists not obeying the law
 
Well, this thread has been just like everywhere else. People really are split down the middle.
Far more drivers than I'd ever realised object to 30mph speed limits in residential areas.
Given that speed cameras only "charge" you for going above the limit, the truth must be that drivers want to exceed 30mph in heavily built-up areas.
I said earlier I happily do ~85 on dc/motorways, but damn, I crawl around where people live. It bothers me that people don't want to slow down where you've got animals, OAPs, kids, etc.
Funny old world.

On reflection if citizen khan institutes more 20's in london that would be more of a cash grab than wales - his history of lying about the environmental saving from ulez precedes him;

have to see if the protest in wales this weekend is at the level of the pro/con Gazan march.
 
Something comical about anti-terrorism squads going after someone for blowing up a camera. Seems like they over-did it a bit

Just saw that on the news. A van and a bus were casualties, presumably hit by flying debris.
Home made bomb by the sound of it, presumably with some type of delayed action timer on it or phone activated?

Perhaps the bomb was a belt and braces job to make sure after cutting it down?
The delayed action for the bomb was dangerous, it could have injured passers by or officials if they were engaged in sorting out the cut down camera

The Aga Khan will not be pleased.

Are they waiting for one of these muppets to use a timed controlled bomb to explode next to a bus before agreeing that this maybe isn't such a great idea?

If they used cheap Chinese batteries in them as a backup, which are now exploding. That would just be the icing on the cake lol. Khan would need to have them all removed for safety reasons.

It wouldn't need to be a big pop in an enclosed box to do that much damage.

Easily done. Reminds me of a guy I went to university with and who I had a small side line with, we used to get rid of tree stumps in return for beer tokens. We were asked to get rid of an old tree that was becoming dangerous, long story short he overcooked it and put a large splinter, and when I say splinter I mean a lump of wood about 10' x 3', through his own windscreen. :p
