It happens. I was the designated porter for that bloke who got sliced, diced and stabbed by two machete wielding attackers some months back. He looked like he's been done over by a tiger and then they stabbed him multiple times, some of which went all the way through him, and they missed everything. I remember one of the EMCs saying that despite the fact he looked like a bloody mess and had been the victim of such a vicious attack he was the luckiest guy in the hospital. And he had no major problems - unbelievable.
"You were only supposed to blow the bladdy doors off!"Something comical about anti-terrorism squads going after someone for blowing up a camera. Seems like they over-did it a bit
People complain about the speed restrictions in the next village along. We've just moved back to the area and if I want to cut those conversations short I just mention that I was at school with the kid who got run over and killed in front of his parents which resulted in them in the first place. Seems to instantly change their attitude...We had a hit and run in the village last night, speeding car obviously. Pedestrian in hospital with 'life threatening injuries'. It seems to have stopped the usual morons on facebook using the laugh emojis whenever someone brings up the subject of speeding and cameras here. For a while at least.
