Lefty (Stop the War/Corbyn types of Lefty) outrage is reserved exclusively for the West, they always turn a blind eye when some despot/communist/totalitarian regime does it.

As odd as it sounds, that is a strength in some ways. Trump is unpredictable and will take whatever decision he thinks will be best for him.

If he thought delivering increased aid to Ukraine was good for him personally he would do it- regardless of advice.

We just don't know what he'll do. But neither does Russia.

At least Trump was telling people stright what he was thinking that is just my opinion.
 
I expect whast Trump really wants is to hobble Biden without appearing personally responsible for it. Then win an election off the back of it, and then go all in

Not sure how true it is but it comes from western intelligence (USA) that they have lost 316 thousand troops either dead or wounded

Thats a scary amount. in fact it a little bit more than what they started the war with and with 900 a day being terminated now, then who knows how long they can keep it going.

You then need to look at the thousands, literally thousands of tanks and other armour, planes, hellicopters and ships they have lost then you have to assume Putin is having a very bad 3 day war.

Can he survive these losses if the general Russian population ever get to hear the truth?

I think he is saying that Trump isn't motivated by what is best for the West or even for the USA. He is motivated by what is best for Trump and his enormous ego. Declaring Russia the winner by withdrawing support for Ukraine is not in the West or USA best interest. Saying this week that he doesn't see why the USA should support Taiwan as "they stole US jobs" (they didn't) isn't in the West or USA best interest. He is clearly drawn to authoritarians and not leaders of the US traditional allies. None of this is good for us.

Trump is a once in a century opportunity for the rest of the world. And they know it’s his last term. I just cannot see how that ends well.

Taiwan and China didn't take American jobs away, you gave them away American idiots. America used to be the manufacturing powerhouse of the world and then you decided you'd rather give all those jobs to Asia, no one stole those jobs from you, Asia was a poor backwater and Japan was ****** after ww2, no one had resources to do what they did if America didn't give it to them. Trump being a moron again

The jobs went because as an advanced economy with growing living standards the basic manufacturing jobs couldn't pay people enough, and if they did it would be non viable to manufacture due to cost.​
