******Official Star Citizen / Squadron 42 Thread******

Well i tried to log in as I've not played for a while and I'd left a load of work orders that needed selling and are now going to disappear. As soon as i leave a station i get a 3 crime stat for murder and vehicle destruction for no reason. I've tried paying the fine and also getting killed by a station but i just keep waking up at grim hex, and as soon as i leave i get the crime stat back.
Damm that is weird!
Dunno, but Chris'll probably be in court at some point.

AMD Fluid Motion Frames (AFMF) Official Driver is out.

If you have an RX 7000 series GPU its worth trying out...

Think of it as DLSS 3 Frame Generation but with a significant difference, it will work in any DX 11 or DX12 game, (not sure about Vulkan, probably) even if the game doesn't officially support it, so you don't need to wait for the developer to add it in game, its entirety done in AMD's drivers, all you do is turn it on in the drivers.

tenpoundfortytwo tested it a few months ago while it was still very much in BETA, its tricky in star citizen because as with all frame generation tech it only really works well if you can keep you base frame rate at or above 60 FPS, it technically works at well below that but the game will still feel laggy, note that any frame gen tech does not make the game feel better or less laggy but rather to look smoother, so if you have a laggy 30 FPS and you're getting 60 with AFMF it will still feel like 30, or even a little worse due to slight extra latency introduced by the tech.

AFMF in my experience is a bit of a jittery mess when on. I find it miles smoother with it turned off.

Also remember a lot of things were reset this patch so likely no ammo, consumables etc and you'll need to pick your spawn location and get to Seraphim!

I did that late last night, however when i got out of my seat at Seraphim i realised i no longer had the armour and weapons on me that that i had put on at A18.... it was late, i rolled my eyes, sighed and logged off :D

Ok.... so that was interesting, some actual dynamic gameplay?

i'm half way through transferring its cargo to my ship when an NPC Vulture turns up and is like hey that's my mining claim and shoots my ship, i run to my cockpit and take him on, kill him and 10 seconds later a reclaimer jumps in..... i'm out of there, got most of the Corsairs cargo.

Tonight will most likely be trying Siege of Orison so try to be there at 9 if you are joining us or as close a possible. I can't promise we'll hang around long on joiners if it's active.

I've never successfully done it so might not be missing much tbh !
