I've literally just started within the past few days, I got the gladiators with premium grips (left stick omni throttle) and picked up the cutter and I'm really enjoying myself.

They have been working on the tech for a while, its an old build just used for testing the technology, I think its the same build as the Citizencon build, who knows how old that build actually is, so its missing all of the visual and audio stuff.

There are much later builds that are no doubt much more fleshed out.

I've almost zero idea what I'm doing, I mean I died last night flying into a planet because that's what the way point said and froze to death because I forgot to change out of my medical gown on a package delivery lol but if you want to add me my ingame name is vidarsbane

I've added you. I've just done the tutorial and now my helmet seems to have disappeared and i really have a clue what to do next :D
 
It's okay mate, I've just spent the day doing courier runs and then randomly had my cutter blown up while on the landing pad by some griefer, losing quite a bit of loot. I think I'm now stranded but we'll see

This is my main worry about the game. Inevitably there is always a high chance of others ruining your experience. I don't play to be someone else's content.
 
Got to remember right now we're flying in a fish bowl with regular account resets etc.

The actual game world will be far larger but more importantly, long term consequences for lawlessness.

I actually found it fun, I got rescued by a random lol
Oh I feel unbridled rage at my own stupidity! ‍ I spent hours doing package deliveries, absolutely rammed my Drake cutter full of armour and weapons. Headed back to port tessler, came in too fast. Ploughed into the side of it and exploded. Headed back outside to try and salvage and it was gone ffs!

Don't worry. When grievers randomly destroy people's cargo, there rep will have a huge impact. So much so that as soon as they step into a lawful system like Stanton, all the stations, outposts and police npc as well as player bounty hunters will be engaging and shooting them down
