So for those on Evocati - does it feel smoother to play? Less delay or clunkyness in the movement and interaction? I'm loving the new features but that responsiveness is a big part for me...

Well, the search function on the new star map elevates the clunkiness with that, type in the first 3 letters of where you want to go, it comes up in the results, click on it, click go and it plots and locks in a rout, that's it, you're ready to go.

If you try to use it the way you do the old star map its just as clunky, because its the same thing but with much better visuals.

Edit: its actually not much different to the star map in Starfield, nor is the old one at least in the way it presents the environment to you, its just not as polished and with the holographic style of it its not easy to live with. it is CR's obsession with how things look rather than how things function.

For me I'd just want the ability to disable the hologram-like repeat effect on all the text. Not got an issue with the translucence. Either way, I hope they do something to make it easier to read.

Yeh the old map was a pain in the rear. Not selecting things properly, plot route button not working, trying to zoom in on a planet and going through it and then not being able to see the landing zones. Sounds like this zoom issue should be fixed, and with the search it should atleast be usable if not perfect!

Star Citizen Alpha Patch 3.23.0​

Alpha Patch 3.23.0 has been released to Evocati, and is now available to test! Patch should now show: VERSION 3.23.0-EPTU.9133961-9134320.

It is strongly recommended that players delete their USER folder for the Public client after patching, particularly if you start encountering any odd character graphical issues or crash on loading. The USER folder can be found (in default installations) at C:\Program Files\Roberts Space Industries\StarCitizen\EPTU.

Characters in this new environment will be built from LTP data so items such as medpens, ammo, rentals, and refinery jobs will be lost.

Server Info: US Only - EPTU Channel - PU/AC - Replication Layer Enabled/Recovery Enabled
Starting aUEC: 15,000,000

The current build is under NDA (Talking about features and testing is allowed but no sharing of game video, screenshots, audio, files, or accounts outside of Evocati)
Please log out then back in on the issue council site to see the Evocati environment there. Please make sure to only select the Evocati 3.23 environment when creating IC reports while the builds are Evocati only

Please monitor etf-testing-chat in spectrum for updates and testing instructions.
Note: This patch does not contain all of the intended features, which will be added iteratively to the notes as they become available. Additionally, some features may be implemented in a partial state and as such are not ready for testing. To save me a trip, do the convention centres have anything in them when there is not an event on?

As an aside, I am finding the game looks much better if I disable HDR in game and use RTX HDR instead. Can't tell you why it looks better. It just does.

Same, i use Auto HDR, the in game HDR looks mooted.
 
Also I'm a massive idiot, I didn't realise there were other game modes in Arena Commander, thought it was just the race ones. Making it easier to remember key binds in free mode.

Also flew to Hurston from mT. Had no Comms channel to enabled me to dock there. What am I missing? Turns out I wasn't close enough to 'Hurston' marker, but I can only see the marker when I turn on QT mode, then I got permission but couldn't see the marker that was apparently set for me as it was too dark so I self destructed.

Went to prison last night, that was fun :cry:. Went on a bounty mission to kill some guy only for it glitch out and set the bounty as neutral. I went ahead and assassinated him anyway and blew up his ship...

Next thing you know i've committed unholy homicide and have a criminal damage fine to pay. Server starts to hunt me down... Yikes! I hijack a landing pad at Everus harbor, ducking and rolling while avoiding turret fire and missiles! Literally crash head first into the landing bay, I MADE IT!

Ended up just surrendering and going to prison. Logged back on this morning and my term had been served, released back into public to do more harm (good).
 
I took a mission to find a missing person in a cave thinking that doesn't sound too hard except the cave is ******* massive and I've been wondering around for 20 minutes and I have no idea where this person is. I think I'm just going to abandon it. How the hell are you supposed to find someone in something so big?

The couple of times ive done that mission the person isnt very far into the cave.

I gave up, a storm came in and filled it with fog just to add to the drama. One day I will complete a mission on this game but today is not that day.
I gave up with any kind of delivery mission because the cargo never stays in the cargo bay.

Oh and despite being inside a cave, my character decided to walk around putting his hand up to shield his (visored) face meaning I couldn't see anything at all.

Tried to do a bounty hunter mission on foot, got killed right away lol.

Tapped out today after spending all that time to achieve nothing but two deaths lol, but yeah happy to play generally, my in-game name is 'Imperatore'.
