How much does a pint of beer cost where you live?

It's about 8-9GBP at the current exchange rate in Basel.

You can probably fins a pint about 6quid if you go to some small back road place

There's a new little brewery in my village that has a little bar there and it's 6EUR / 5.11GBP a pint

Funny thing with this thread going on is that I've been invited to a bash this weekend up town and I'm now thinking of ways to get out of it. I just know it's going to be a £200+ night being in a round and I'd rather not spend the money.

Even at £10 a pint, that's 20 pints! Unless you move on to shorts, but still!
Seriously, if you're doing some food, 8 or 9 pints, add in some shorts, plus cab home, in a round of 4 you'll do £200 easy. If people go on the doubles it escalates pretty quickly too.

Crazy money these days. I'd rather have a cup of tea and watch a film at home or do some gaming now. My days of staying out in Covent Garden until 3am are long gone. :)

£4 ish for cask
£5-7 for keg
It's all craft ale in a local alehouse so no big brewery tasteless nonsense that attracts CAMRA members.

CAMRA members

Isn't that a club for people who like good beer?

Personally I think beer snobbery has gone to far. If I want more taste I'll have another beer.

I'm a ale drinker but the local Weatherspoons in the Staffordshire Moorlands is a decent pub, not your usual spoons

£1.79 for Ruddles
£2.60 for Doombar

Can't complain at that..
Other pubs are mainly £4.50 for a decent ale

£2.10 for DB in ours, was £1.99 until a couple of weeks back

£3.50 for Guinness and £3.10 for Fosters at my local clurb.

About £1.80-£2 for the cheapy real ales in the local Spoons. One on of the cheapest Spoons around and also probably the only one with the toilets on the ground floor.

Varies wildly here depending on where you go. The cheapest bars are £1.50 - £2, proper restaurants and fancy bars can easily be £6-8. Most I've ever paid was £12 for some fancy German beer.

Up to $12 for standard cooking lager from the big breweries ($10 at happy hour). $14-$18 for something better and usually all local stuff, not a lot imported. When I say local I mean really local, most on this menu are within 20 miles of the pub. Scandalous really. https://www.meandu.app/taphouse/dine-in/beer
6 to 9 quid at today's exchange rate.

Girlfriend’s parents were down from Yorkshire and we went for a pub lunch. Her dad went to get a round of four and confidently put down a £20 note :p

Barmaid was very nice, asked him if he wanted to sit down before she told him the real price lol. Good bants.

But in all seriousness, anything under £7/pint and I’m happy. Most seem to be £6-odd in either central or west London. That round had two Tiny Rebel specials on tap so I thought they’d be a lot, but only £6.20 I think which I thought was fair.

I don't drink regularly enough to know as I only tend to buy one with food so it gets lost in the price but I'd be shocked/annoyed if it was over £5.

I never check the receipts
