Greenlizard0 Premier League Football Thread ** spoilers ** [25th - 27th October 2024]

Meh, expected a win against an under strength Arsenal but given how poor we were for a large part of the game, I'll take the point.

Not sure who will be more disappointed, Arsenal fans or Neville.

Playing that poorly and with injuries/fixtures I'll take that. Absolutely grim stuff going forward

Unfortunately another one of these games that no one has decided to end party

2-2 is fine by me, we were poor 1st half and not really that much better in the 2nd. Couple of ropey performances.

Played pretty rubbish but when you're up against a side that tries to defend a 1 goal lead for half the game, with the quality we have, you've always got a chance of getting something.

Surprised we didn't play Szobo today - he's not been at his best from an attacking perspective of late however his defensive work has been unreal and I thought that would have been important today. Robertson's performance again was a bit of a worry. There were signs last season that he was past his best, with Gomez arguably our best LB at the end of last season, and that's continued into this season.

You always have to have a sly dig at the opposition, you never change

Are you disputing what I said or just don't like Arsenal's negative tactics being commented on? If I wanted to make a sly dig I'd have referred to Arteta as the Spanish Tony Pulis but I didn't.

Not exactly wrong though, its been a worrying trend this season that as soon as we score we retreat and invite pressure onto us.

Last season a goal would drive us forward and we'd smother teams. Now only the opposition scoring seems to get us to come out of our shell.

What negative tactics? The stats don’t back your argument up.

Not having that we were negative today, no chance
