The forecasted winds are a lot higher than the last two storms we’ve had.

We shall see if the tree that lost a large branch loses another, or the fence ends up next door, which happened a few years ago

Seemed alright in the Bristol area today. Good few artics on the motoway, but none were swaying about.

I'm surprised there haven't been more incidents - some cars passing where I live were getting pushed about a fair bit.

What's your location? Both Severn bridges were closed, but one opened again, so i guess near South Wales is okay. Seems rather varied but still strong winds here.

I'm near Wincanton. Been severe winds here from around 4am through most of the day and still strong now but without the explosive gusts we had up until about 5pm.

it's not against their human rights to have the noise wake them up before their roof blows off, and also at the same time to not warn them fast enough.


I'd much rather an alert that turns out to be overly cautious than one that is too slow. I've joked about how often we'll get a flood warning here and nothing happens, but a couple of times it's given me enough time to shift stuff from the low part of the garden just before it would have got flooded.
