Stalker 2

Played it a bit, wasn't sure - something feels "off" in the controls on PC, feels sluggish and kind of hard to get into the game. May give it another go but not sold at present

Go to “C:\Users “user name”\AppData\Local|Stalker2|Saved\Config\Win \Input.ini” paste [/script/engine.inputsettings] bEnableMouseSmoothing=False bViewAccelerationEnabled=False save edit: App Data is a hidden folder you need to enable hidden folder view

also fsr was making it poo for me so turned it to tsr and just use frame gen

Even though I beat the game, I started a new game and only progressed the main story until I could leave the lesser zone. Then I totally ignored the main story and simply went exploring doing artefact hunting and only side quests. Essentially living life as a Stalker rather than the hero.

I noticed some little nuances and nice little details that impressed me with how subtle changes in how you do a side quest can have different outcomes. Here are just some examples.

Had a quest to retrieve an artefact because a Ward captain had recently lost his buddy on patrol (his buddy died saving the captain’s life). He believed his buddy turned into an artefact. But when I went there I found his dead friend and the artefact. So the quest simply asks you to return the artefact, but instead I carried the captain’s dead friends body all the way back to him.

I expected nothing, no difference to dialogue etc. instead the captain was very happy I returned his dead friends body and let me keep the artefact and gave me my reward.

At the poppy field there is a stash of energy drinks and a note saying take only what you need and please leave some if you have spares. Instead I took them all. Back at one of the campfires a stalker was lamenting that some ******* had taken all the energy drinks he had left to help others and that he was through being nice. I reloaded a save, left two energy drinks instead and went back to the campfire after a sleep. The same stalker was saying there are still some good people in the zone because someone had put extra energy drink in his stash.

I know it needs work and a-life would be nice to see improvements. But these little nuances and details really do give a lot of atmosphere and immersion IMHO.
