Because the likelihood is, you need to buy when you get the chance with stock
I mean, it's only been the case since I've been buying hardware for the last 18 years.
Gives them a chance to build stock more was never gonna buy the 5070 anyway
So what price did they originally want to sell these at, I'm very curious. $700-800?THE ******* things are in stock, the NVIDIA pricing must have put a spanner in the works. Radeon clown division.

AMD confirms Radeon RX 9070 series launching in March - VideoCardz.com
Radeon RX 9070 will launch in March Not in January, not in February but March. AMD has finally provided an update. The company, through David McAfee (VP & GM of Ryzen CPU and Radeon graphics), confirmed today that the new Radeon series will be released in March. This puts an end to speculation...videocardz.com
I’m betting not even AMD know at this stage!Nobody knows.
That's not usually the way it happens though, they would usually build stock then send them out to retailers. Having products sitting on store shelves for over a month or more before going on sale is strange. They normally only get them in stock a week or 2 max before launch.
SHOPS HAVE THEM IN STOCK! MARCH......
As before, I'd be surprised if they left money on the table. That chap on Reddit was right then? AMD was pushing back the launch by a month.
They obviously want to wait for the RTX5070 launch numbers and price fix according to that.
How do you know its over a month? No dates have been committed to. It could 28th Feb for nvidia 1st March for AMDThat's a stupid decision from AMD, you can understand a few weeks but over a month is ridiculous especially when retailers already have had stock for weeks. The cards will still be good value if they are priced right, but the timing will kill their launch momentum for sure.
