*** The AMD RDNA 4 Rumour Mill ***

I wish AMD luck with these cards, but I have low expectations with regards to the launch as they always manage to botch it, be it launch date, availability, price. Some things never change, at times it seems like sabotage. lol

Why? I'll still wait and I don't want 12gb and not paying 5070ti price either

But silly to release after Nvidia will just get people to buy Nvidia
A lot of chatter in the chat on the said articles’ host site about people getting fed up with all parts and hoping to build in Jan/Feb now wanting to go Nvidia. They’ll lose a lot of sales and I don’t know if they properly thought this through…. Another Amazing Delay- A-M-D.

Still if people considering the 5070 should wait a few more weeks , my only choice is AMD I don't consider 5070 with it's 12gb at that price range

In all seriousness, of course AMD will still have time to sell these GPU's, but the month or two delay will have a disproportianate impact when measured over that two year period.
The launch window timing is critical as the market gears up for it, anticipates it and therefore you have a large amount of customers now eager to buy something new and literally their only choice will be to go Nvidia. It's hard to put a number on it, but I'm pretty sure that a lot of people who were either floating voters, or erring on the side of AMD are now going to be lost customers now. Given that this launch window was anticipated for a long time, people will have even sold their GPU's or had PC's built and ready for a GPU and are just not going to be so willing to wait much longer when the Nvidia option is on the table.

It's also just terrible P.R for AMD.
Judging by the 5700xt launching in May 2019 and 6800XT launching in Oct 2020- it might only be 12m before UDNA launch- if someone had waited this long with a tide over GPU they can wait another 12m perhaps to get better price/performance and likely full tensor cores on the new die.

People can't wait forever and who is going to wait for another AMD hypetrain? Expect it to be delayed an additional 12 months.

AMD is currently getting slated in every internet platform imaginable, everywhere I look it's the same thing.

Right when the 9070 was building a bit of hype.

After all the rumours that were too terrible to believe came true maybe it's time to accept the most outlandish one, AMD is getting paid by Nvidia to keep Antitrust regulators at bay.

They are not the budget brand, don't you remember? Nvidia was nice enough to give them estimated performance figures and pricing too. Yet,apparently AMD is incapable of selling an RX7800XT replacement at under £500 with a sub 30% improvement. Apparently that would need revolutionary tactics!

Nvidia is just laughing now.

I’m kinda leaning towards Nvidia now for the 60 series (at least they launch cards!!?) :D:p:D

AMD will delay UDNA1 two years until the 70 series.

OMG

I'M DONE with AMD GPUs

Yeah, there are people who do want to support them and AMD make them wait 3 months, if AMD's strategy is 0% marketshare they are working hard at it.....

5070ti no Fe pretty sure it's gonna be £800+ and I wouldn't want cheap built aib , my budget is strictly £500-£600 and AMD is looking like the only option, but I know AMD probably pricing it £600-£650 ?
AMD might have got pressure from investors not to drop the price until performance of competitor can be assessed in the cold light of day. What else has made them delay when cards are in stores lol.

AMD is trying to gain mid to low end market share and the only way to do that is to make sure their cards are the top performers in those tiers. I suspect they are going to keep their cards under wraps until Nvidia has launched the 5070. It looks like they decided that it's no point giving the competition the heads up so they can fiddle with clockspeeds and drivers to beat them. Also FSR4 may not be ready or they may be scrambling to add 4X frame gen as well after Nvidia's announcement.

Unless you are desperate to get a card then it makes sense to wait instead of scrambling for a Nvidia card on release.

Yeah but if your prospective buyers have already bought a card, it doesn't matter what price/performance you offer.
