*** The AMD RDNA 4 Rumour Mill ***

This would hardly be considered a leak, this is someone making a claim that he called a store and got told xy and z.
Ok, not a leak.

Strange information then.

It wouldn't surprise me if this is true, not to mention the Danish and Scandanavian stores I should say get lot more shafted by PC vendors, so I don't really see any allegiance said retailer will have with AMD with giving that info out.

I hope this isn't true..Delaying release when suppliers already have the stock and Nvidia are releasing the 50 series next week just seems like madness to me.
I know that store and the listing has been removed from what I can tell. I wouldn't classify them as the brightest of people. Have had numerous issues with returns/RMAs if it is indeed the store I believe it to be.

With every passing day of silence (especially in the modern world), the situation gets worse for AMD. Just like Nintendo bit the bullet and revealed the Nintendo Switch 2 (which isn't coming out for at least 5-6 months), AMD are going to have to act quickly to counter the leaks/rumours. It's just making them appear weak and fearful. It's going to take an absolute mic-drop moment from Radeon for them to repair their reputation at this point.

The absolute state of the GPU market...

Has there been any word if OCUK has received stock or if stock is imminent?
Yeah, my uncle's mate's cousin knows a guy who lives nearby and he said he saw Gibbo getting his price labelling gun ready for a bunch of 9070XTs the other week, apparently he only was using 999.99 though.

I'll post it on Reddit so it gets circulated around as fact.

Frank Azor said that they have the benefit of time on their side so I doubt they will release the cards before the 5080 reviews are out. Heck they may even wait for the 5070Ti to be released because that is the card they are competing against. Almost certainly they wouldn't want Nvidia to find out the performance of the 9070XT and tweak the 5070 cards to beat them.

5070 is probably already in production and it seems the whole world already knows 9070XT performance.

Do you have data on unsold inventory? Anecdotally, on OcUK there seems to be decent stock of the 7600/700/800 series, but both 7900 models look thin (for XTX, only the Sapphire is in stock!)

@CAT-THE-FIFTH in case you missed this, I'd love to a see source on your quote that "In the markets [AMD] sell they have way too much unsold inventory, which means they need to change tact."

You keep missing the main point, that these GPUs are the 7800 XT and 7700 XT replacements. So AMD absolutely designed and built these to turn a profit and compete against itself AT THOSE PRICE POINTS. AMD will not be selling at anything close to a loss at the release MSRP of the 7800 XT and 7700 XT.
Aren't you doing the same? You're assuming AMD built the 9070xt for a 499 price point how do you know? They could have built it for a 599 price point thinking Nvidia will increase prices gen on gen. You're assuming they wouldn't lose money.

Yes, ICDP, you are unreasonably assuming you know more than everyone else... the definition of what AMD considered to be the "high end" is known only to them (for now), and therefore what assumed price points they have built to along with it.

Profit margin is the difference between how much it costs to sell the product and the sale amount.

Specifics: gross profit is cost sold for minus cost to physically build a product. This shows a different view to operating profit which also takes into account operating expenses like sales, marketing, and R&D.

Interesting but those prices are too close this will be another XT vs XTX situation...

Not necessarily. As a %, the delta between 600 and 500 is obviously more than the delta between 1000 and 900. We also don't know the relative performance difference between the two models yet.

AMD has shown extremely alarming gouging signs.

Checking if this is a joke? Note sure how you can say this after years (decades?!) of enduring Intel and Nvidia pricing :cry:

So wait until everyone has a 5080/5070ti/5070 and then launch them, seems like another genius move by AMD.

In all likelihood its someone trolling for the craic. Right now anyone can post virtually anything and its somehow being given consideration to being legit or not, mostly due to amd saying nothing currently.
