Trading the stockmarket (NO Referrals)

yea RKLB +21%
LUNR 17%

I only have 20 rocket labs and 21 lunr shares :(
been holding rocket for ages and slowly topping up on any drops, was planning to do the same with lunr.
Sold my LUNR as it was so volatile, was constantly red and going nowhere, waiting for it to drop to ~17 and was going to rebuy. Got 160 RKLB but I'm tempted to sell and rebuy when it drops. For some reason these space stocks seem to be very temperamental

Edit: Sold at £31 with a 40% profit, I hope it doesn't go up any more lol

Basically I'm looking for massively over reacted drops now.
Where the business is very profitable but some scandal is occurring but priced in.

Most memorable time this happened was when BP had it's deep horizon blow.
Sp tanked but the company was still profitable.

In this hyped market that's what I'm looking for at the moment

The figures for close brothers stand out

But need to research if the scandal. Is fully priced in.
I'm wondering whether to go in heavy on Supermicro. The accounting issue tanked their stocks hard but they remain a massive player and growing year on year.

Edit - quoted old post, didn't see what page I was on.

temperamental?
looks nice and steady to me

why are people scared of small drops? just ride them out.

I bought 5 shares even on
16/12/2024, 03:22 @ 25$ even though I was already up massively on it.
wonder what my average was before that, must have been a lot lower than 9.76$ but I'm too lazy to do the maths

how much money do you think I would have made on this if I kept selling and buying on dips? you guys need some faith in your stock picks.
a dips just an opportunity to add more, trying to time the market in my experience just leads to missing the big jumps on a stock when they happen.

I'd rather make a lot of money not very often, than a little bit of money often personally. (a lot being percentage relevant, I'm not claiming 351 is a lot of money, but I doubt I would have made 351 trying buy and sell on dips all the time.

yes its unrealised but semantics..

Fair, I've only held them for 2 months and in that time I've seen it go up and down so much I just got impatient lol
technically there have been dips,. but it's always been moving slowly in an upwards channel

Neutrons should start launching this year? and that's likely the next catalyst

I'm kinda new on LUNR I probably bought about 1 month ago

there has been a big peak and dip i could have sold at, and no doubt there will be another dip, but I will keep holding

LUNR have a massive contract, they just need to keep hitting checkpoints

Intuitive Machines (LUNR) has a contract with NASA to provide navigation and communication services for lunar and deep space missions. The contract is worth up to $4.82 billion and includes a five-year base period with an option to extend for another five years

Yeah I have some. It's a bit dodgy all the accounting scandal. Have to wonder wtf is going on there. But I still have a decent holding.

For us space men sidus space is following these guys up.
Haven't looked into it properly though

Palantir and SoFi still doing well for me with >100% increases on both now. Still holding.

All positions now in green too. Lowest return at 4% so at least it’s keeping up with bank rates.

I sold my AVGO yesterday, achieving a 49.5% profit in just over six months on a substantial investment. Its the second time I have done a YOLO, last time was Netflix which also did well.

Today, I took a midsized position in RKH. I don't plan to hold it for long, but I anticipate an increase leading up to the arbitration appeal and aim to exit within a month.

I'm considering buying VST and TEM, though I feel I may have missed boat on this one. My goal is to increase my portfolio by 64%, which will allow me to reach a key milestone. Once achieved, I plan to transition my entire portfolio into trackers and BRK-A and leave it untouched until retirement.

Expecting ATAI to bump with the confirmation of RFK which is scheduled for 29th Jan. Very in line with RFKs views, and Peter Thiel holds a significant stake so I expect favours and cronyism from the Trump to ensure they have an easy path to FDA approval for various drugs in their pipeline.
