Thats exactly what im thinking, cheaper water blocks too! Will still try on the day but saving over 1k would be a great thing
Again, using your own logic, never complain about bots ever again. The mental gymnastics on display here is on a different level.. "Scalping for me, but not for thee".
This is a concern and I am unsure on specific cards power connectors. Forgive me if I am wrong, but in terms of actual use (aside from safety concerns) they are all backwards compatible right? As in a 12VHPWR cable will work with a card with the new connector? Is "Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5090 Windforce OC 32GB GDDR7 PCI-Express Graphics Card" going to have only 12VHPWR (1x) instead of 12v-2x6 (1x) ?
I doubt any new 5000 series boards will use the old 12VHPWR plug. Even some 4000 series cards are using the revised, and renamed, 12v-2x6 (Also labelled as H++) so why any AIB would use the old revision is beyond me.This is a concern and I am unsure on specific cards power connectors. Ah OK, if it just relates to the socket that's fine then, I should be OK with my current Cablemod stealthsense extension cable then.I doubt any new 5000 series boards will use the old 12VHPWR plug. Remember, the change only relates to the socket, not the cable.
Still feels like the 4090 price is too high on the second hand market, the uk competitor who provides 5 year warranty has them around 1600 which I guess is good for having such a long warranty. No idea if that is voided by waterblocking, probably is. Will also keep a look out on the clearance section of ocuk.I’ll try and get a 5090 on release and failing that I’ll look at a second hand 4090 like the others are doing.
Honestly, I wasn't able to get a single card on launch on here, not during the 3080 release, the 4090 release and I doubt I'm gonna be able to get the 5090 and it'll just end up being in a queue for a few months so I'm gonna sit this one out for the first time lol.
It is futile, I know my fate, forever in the queue backlog![]()
"Won't you make a try for it?"
I thought of this image and even the clock is just past 2pm!![]()
Videocardz reported on it as wellLong thread on Reddit's Nvidia sub about OCUK stock (or lack thereof)
You just sound silly typing up an epistile riddled with contradictions and hypocrisy. I have never and will never buy from a scalper as I would rather forego an item than reward some charlatan scalper.Grow up mate, you're the one displaying mental gymnastics... Comparing mass scalping with bots to somebody buying 2 of something to offset the cost of the one they plan to keep?
Sounds like you had no self control and decided to pay scalper prices for something and are now butthurt blaming them for selling it at a high price instead of blaming yourself for being impatient. You're a typical example of todays entitled society pointing the finger at others when they should be pointing it at themselves. Scalping only happens because people are willing to pay stupid prices. People buying from scalpers funds what they do and makes the problem worse. If anything, the scalper is the smarter one of the two and the person paying more deserves it for being dumb enough to do it
Great card. Shame it's on the same node. Too expensive. See you at 2pm next Thursday to try and get one anyway!Anyone changed there mind now the 5090 reviews are out?![]()
