NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - (PRE)ORDER DISCUSSION **NO COMPETITOR HINTING**

They spent a lot of money designing a small PCB and the cooling solution for it.
I doubt they did that to then not have many to sell

This your first gpu launch or something? The small pcb and the cooler are wee buns, the gpu is the complicated part and that's what will dictate availability.

I tried the integrated GPU a few weeks ago on the 9800x3d by god it pants. Luckily I only really league of legends with hindsight playing on 2015 card which is workstation based which means it slower than it contemporary gaming brethren is like having DLSS 4 and MFG. It says 120 FPS but plays like 30 fps
If I sold my 4090 and needed to wait, I'd just grab a month of Geforce Now. People say it's actually pretty good

I'm not a fan of large scale scalping or using bots, but grabbing 2 to help offset the price of 1 I take no issue with.
Especially considering the 2 I bought were not bought together, they were separate places and weeks apart, so there was plenty of chance for everybody else.
What you on about? That's still greed and it compounds the problem, you're taking something that you don't need at the detriment of someone else who does...

They can't need it that badly if on 2 separate occasions I was able to casually buy them with minimal effort

While I haven't tried Geforce Now, I've played on PlayStation Now in the past and it was awful even with the holy grail of Eastern European fiber. I suppose it depends how close you are to the data center, but anything that's an action game/FPS is gonna suffer.

Does anyone really NEED the newest shiniest GPU? Even if you're a freelancer doing work, you're probably equipped well enough in the current state.

Cmon, your entire comment contradicts itself, if you buy 2 to sell 1 at a higher price, it has to mean the person you sell to can not get it for cheaper, there's no mental juggling here, buying 2 when you only need 1 to make a profit is in my opinion morally unjustified

That's not the point, it's not about needs or wants, it's about not being greedy and trying to make a quick buck

What did he say that scared you? The stock situation?
Yeah, there's only single digit 5090s and hundreds of 5080s to grab. Could be weeks if not months before supply is stable.
Where is clearance? Is it a good price?
It's in the deals section on the shop, there's a lot of b grade and clearance stuff. I grabbed the literal last 4090 on the way out, sorry. :d

Really not got much faith in me being able to grab a 5090 after seeing all this chat lol. In a tricky place with my 3080ti where its not getting the performance I want and upgrading to anything else isnt really worth it imo

Or they could get it cheaper, they're just lazy or impatient...
There will always be more stock. If they're willing to pay extra to have something right away, that's in high demand, and I can provide that for them, then it's win win

Buy a second hand 4090 for a thousand quid it will be just fine for another two years at least its better than paying over 2 grand for a 5090 and being in a queue for months.

Again, using your own logic, never complain about bots ever again. The mental gymnastics on display here is on a different level.. "Scalping for me, but not for thee".
