NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - (PRE)ORDER DISCUSSION **NO COMPETITOR HINTING**

And the whole gaming community is collectively praying you don't get your hands on launch stock
God I can only imagine how ****** up the 6000 launch is gonna be, and since there's a high likelihood of being on a smaller node there's a good chance it'll actually be worth buying lol

Honestly i doubt node shrinks are going to provide much power or efficency benefits going forward from generation to generation it'll mainly be fake frame improvements from now on i expect

It depends tbh, if they can get some decent efficiency gains going from 5nm to 3nm, I can't see why we wouldn't be 50%+ from the 5090. Obviously this is 2+ years down the line so who tf knows what's gonna happen between now and then.

It's never a true shrink these days though. The node is normally named after the smallest feature rather than average feature so the changes are far less than may appear with the naming.

Paid under £12 for the popular app to autobuy and got a 5080 at £1100, worth I think.
That's how I got my notification for this place. Tbh it's an alright app for the big retailer with autobuy, for any other retailer it's meh, it's missed a couple of drops on certain retailers as well as FE drops.

Which autobuy did you use? I've been thinking of writing one myself, but am too overloaded with Python work already.
Big retailer, you have to login to your account via the app (they claim it's all client based storage and nothing on their servers) and when a notification comes in I imagine they spawn some sort of headless browser to do some clicking for you so you can almost certainly build it yourself.

I was looking into doing it but realised it's not worth it unless you have access to their API which you need a seller account so dropped it.

I reckon all this ROPs drama is going to start killing off those scalpers, just seen a 5090 FE going for sub-3k now first time. People will more likely just want to pre-order to have that additional layer of safety if they need to return or RMA.
There's also an exponentially decreasing pool of people with that much money and so little sense without a 5090 in hand

@LtMatt giving me a hard time, I've been forced to realize its 5090 or nothing from a 4090. I apologize for any premature celebrations caused.*

*No 5080s were sold, during the making of this post.

yep, most of these scalpers dont even know what ROPS are and how to check, theyve never seen the inside of a PC let alone install it and check it, but it is below 5% so there will be some scalpers forced to return their 4-5 grand

Anyone saw Asus advert which has this;

Be an #ROGEliteRewards member, and you'll have a chance to win access to purchase a GeForce RTX 5090 or 5080!

they have a raffle where you win a chance at BUYING a card LOL.

@asus, your company is whack.
lolz Zotac is doing the same thing, they are offering "real gamers" not scalpers the chance of buying a Zotac card thru some social media site, i think you have to have a zotac account with past 5 year registrations or somthing like that, worlds gone mad, before it was chance to win for free now its chance to buy paying full RRP

******** joke
