Someone did an approximation with NV GPUs. Can't say it's too exciting unfortunately, but expected. Obviously no PT numbers yet but it's probably still the case that NV is 2-3 TIMES faster there. Given the lackluster RT + PT performance and all the missing Geforce features for me it's going to take the 9070 XT to be $500 to be tempted over a $750 5070 Ti. Don't think there's a chance that happens.

They've got to make it in the £550-600 range then, as if its £700 or more, there is no price/perf improvement and it will be far too close to the RRP of the 5070ti.

looking very unlikely with Nvidias stock situation. The AMD 9070XT Nitro+ might spike above 799 until Nvidia sort themselves out.

although I agree with everyone in regards to pricing, there are a few issues at hand. One is that AMD will price accordingly, meaning if they beat 5070ti which is prices at £799 then they will price near this. Second issues is if they beat a 5070ti and release the card at say £550 the problem is that Nvidia will not just sit by and say ok lets give AMD all the market share, they will most likely match AMD in price to performance at the least. Trust me neither company wants this to happen.

Get used to higher prices, you can make a difference by NOT BUYING that's all you can do unfortunately hoping for a company to release something at a FAIR price is fairytale, its like asking the fox to look after your chicken and hoping he only takes 1. Companies don't charge fair price, they charge what they can get away with in the market. For few generation they have seen people absorb ever higher costs of GPU and other computing gear in general and not effect sales, so they would have to be stupid to charge less. Everything is getting more expensive and unfortunately inflation is only a small part of the answer.

Quadruple fixed that for you. But even if it is $500 to $600,it needs to be compared to that powerhouse known as the RTX5070.

Nvidia 5070 if it has a 12gb vram u gotta remember that texture compression stuff there working on might make them 12gb cards fine for games if the tech can knock down vram usage a good chunk. Tho i dunno much about it other than there developing it, who knows if it works in all games or devs have to impliment some tweaks to their games to use it when its out, i duno if its even out now or later.

Might be this i was thinking of, not sure.

But there is a performance cost.

The problem is that will still need to use dGPU resources,which are also being used for DLSS,FG,etc. AMD is also working on something similar:

The reality is unless AMD goes full retard on pricing and prices very close to an RTX5070TI,the RX9070XT will be more an RTX5070 competitor.

That is the big issue here. The RTX5070TI is probably at best around 10% to 15% faster than an RTX4070TI Super.

10% to 15% over an RTX4070 would give you RTX4070 Super level performance,which is what an RTX5070 is estimated to be around.

Those benchmarks of the RX9070 non-XT indicates RX7900XT level performance in rasterised and at worst RTX4070 level RT performance in Cyberpunk 2077,which is massively optimised for Nvidia.

Even the RX9070 non-XT makes the RTX5070 look a bit rubbish if the leaked performance figures are true.

What people seem to be forgetting is that the 9070XT is supposed to have a similar core count to the 7800XT yet they managed to squeeze out a huge amount of performance. If it's 35% faster than the 7900GRE in Raster then that makes it near 50% faster than the 7800XT.
If AMD decided to make a 9080XT then there is a real possibility they could get close to the 5090 or at least beat the 5080 by 5-10%.

But it's a faulty comparison. If the cards are below £600,why not compare to the RTX5070? The RTX5070 is unlikely to be faster than your RTX4070TI,whereas even an RX9070 non-XT will be a bit ahead in rasterised and maybe slightly worse in RT. That would mean the RTX5070 might not even be faster in many RT games than an RX9070 non-XT if the performance in the leak is actually true and not fibs by AMD.

Then you have the other consideration - the PS5 PRO uses RDNA4 RT. That means many games developed for the PS5 PRO,will be optimised for RDNA4 RT. Unlike in the past,Nvidia at the lower ranges won't have that ability to brute force these effects anymore if the difference is much smaller.

The RTX5070TI 16GB they used as a comparison has 16GB of VRAM.

I do care about RT and upscaling, but at 1440p I have headroom I don't need really high FPS when RT games tend to be single player and with the help of FSR4 it will be playable most importantly if it's £600 and below

That would be cheaper than a £540 RTX5070/RTX4070 Super. If the figures hold up in reviews,even in Cyberpunk 2077 RT ,the RX9070XT will be faster than the RTX5070.

Overall it would demolish it and if any games are optimised for RDNA4 RT(think PS5 PRO games),then it would look even worse.
