There is a very definite legal meaning to "no further action"/"no action taken", it means no legal action, not that they just ignored the allegation and didn't bother to look at it. I can imagine most of the same people complaining about the police looking into this complaint would be up in arms if the police completely ignored a complaint they made.
That's probably why people are up in arms. Because they literally take no action to actual issues. I posted on here about my shockingly bad responses by northumberia police to actual crimes.
I'd like to know what the police commissioners actually do? I've only ever seen them being the mouthpiece for the police.Bit unusual this happening at this time as usually now the police are shown to be raiding a well know drug den (which will be opened a week after the bust) and stopping Brad on his E-scooter in the town centre, while delivering his food and p's and done just intime for the upcoming new community charge to show us that the police are there twice a year and how your extra 10% this year for them and the commissioner will make no difference as seen in previous years.

I thought they were supposed to be an oppositional figure to the police to put forward public concerns.
This really is the crux of it. I just came back to discover my bike stolen. Let's see if the response to that is taken just as seriously, it certainly wasn't when I was mugged or when I had my catalytic converter stolen. That's probably why people are up in arms. Can we please stop pretending that Rupert Murdochs media empire are the only media establishment who try to push views and agendas.TalkTV, owned by Rupert Murdoch, who has been well known for controlling the media to push his own views and agenda since forever? Now that sounds very 1984
Interesting conversation on TalkTV.
They said what I said, there was no other reason to visit this person other than to intimidate people, as this woman as said theh did.
There is no legal obligation to tell someone about a complaint. It might be in the police guidelines. But why?
If the police knocked on your door to say that you've committed no crime and they are just telling you about a complaint against you. What are you supposed to do with that information?

You do not have to take action on every piece of information you receive. You don't "have" to do anything with it if you don't want to?Interesting conversation on TalkTV.

There is no crime.
The police aren't obligated to tell someone about a complaint.
They should tell that person complaining it isn't a police matter.
Hoping that someone resigns and posting it is harassment now?
