it won't be, AMD have said most gamers have GPUs below $700
9070 will be around 450-550 and XT 600-650
This post needs caveating with an AMD hold my beer meme.

If it's msrp is 800 AMD have done it again
Lol that would make it above Nvidia MSRP regardless if you can buy them at that or not , AMD isn't pricing MSRP higher
My mental block is £550 - £600,( I'm not including the pathetic card that will be the 5070) if not I won't bother with either and continue with my current card but I'm more then likely to buy AMD in the future
i'd rather spend it on coke and hookers, though at 1k both would be pretty low qualityI can afford a £1000 GPU but would refuse to spend that much I'd rather put that into a new boiler
I wasn't talking about 700 GPU specifically but on the other hand if they have just that one hobby, which takes them through the day and let's they retain sanity whilst looking for a job and they have enough for a graphics card plus rent went food for the time being - why not? I wouldn't judge on that, as long as they don't forgo them necessities before going for hobby. My point will stands in the situation.Frankly if someone is on benefits and £50 is make or break for food and rent, then they shouldn’t be buying £700 GPUs in the first place.

There's no such thing S5070Ti MSRP though, is there? Did Nvidia ever stated anywhere that this is MSRP?I'm hoping that leak is wrong. How can they MSRP it at $799 when the 5070Ti MSRP is $729.

to be fair at my age now, cola and fishing tackle is probably about all the excitement i can handle. real coke and hookers would be wasted on me, i'd be in bed by 10pm!That's expensive coca cola and fishing tackle. Are those fish hooks gold plated?

You're about £50k lower than required after tax... No wait... I meant... 1 hour!? More like 20 minutes, brah.Yeah everyone is on £80k a year bro.
One UK buyer decided to take it up with a CS Agent anyway because why not...I know you cant get one for that at the moment
Yes, the Nvidia website product page says "starting at £729".

Thing is no one who buys a $700 GPU is thinking; if only it was $50 cheaper. What's $50 anyway, like one hour salary from working
i'm poor. well in so far as spending 2k on a thing that makes coloured 'dots' appear on a screen is not an option.
I can't remember tbh but were the 7000 series wildly off RRP as well?
Look at ryzen where AMD launched a R5 1600 for $200 which had 50% more cores and outperformed Intels flagship $370 7700k in MT.That's not how business work - your start low, you get at least a bit of the market, then you build up. Starting with just premium isn't easy and AMD just can't do it currently. Nvidia won't drop prices as they push for the premium (it won't last forever though) but AMD can't do the currently. They could get short term sales for high prices just being available but that won't help them long term. Still, it won't stop people complaining either way - they just will have to outlast that and ignore it and not just drop business.![]()
