These prices aren't amazing, but they're far away from a disaster. $500 for the non-XT would have made a lot more sense. Still, the XT looks around 10% faster than a 7900XT for less, with better upscaling and much improved RT performance for those that care.
It's not a huge price/performance improvement like we used to see, but neither is it derisory like Nvidia's. Granted, I'm being a hypocrite as I bought a 5080, but that was purely because AMD aren't offering a card in that performance tier this time around.
Here's hoping there's plenty of stock and the price doesn't stray too far North for basic models. A strong AMD in the gfx space benefits everyone.
