Sorry for being dumb but like i said I'm not good with numbers. So would you subtract the 8% from the dollar MSRP price or just not take account of retailers margins in the calculation? The "margin" should be included in the MSRP!
"Retail Price"

Don't forget to minus 20% vat, when AMD gives us an msrp it never includes taxes.£554 at today's exchange rates roughly.
Retailers tack on their shipping costs as well but I don't know what that tends to be.
£569 seemed fair. Anything more is a rip off.

You say that but for me it's really not!Not taken it into account obviously
Lol yeah good old copium, respect it lolMy understanding of this from the information starting to appear online is that AMD should be willing to tell AIBs that they can have rebates for additional capacity, but because retailers (from what I gather with Gibbo's posts) are beholden to the AIBs in terms of "sell it at MSRP or not" then the allocation of MSRP priced cards has to trickle all the way down from AMD to AIBs then into the inboxes of the retailers.
Honestly, and I think this is just me being a bit too hopeful is that we will all wake up tomorrow and AMD will have already greenlit a load more of rebate capacity to AIBs that then translates into retailers being told they can sell more at MSRP?
Thats what im saying, he wants to compare it to the US dollar price which doesn't include taxes so you would have to take 20% vat of the £554 which would be roughly £444 which equates to $572The £554 is including VAT
Well Frank Azor, AMD Marketing boyo posted this earlier https://www.reddit.com/r/radeon/comments/1j547zj/frank_azor_demand_today_for_our_new_cards_has/Lol yeah good old copium, respect it lol
import duty? does that come into it?Thats what im saying, he wants to compare it to the US dollar price which doesn't include taxes so you would have to take 20% vat of the £554 which would be roughly £444 which equates to $572
MRSP cards are now going to be £630 for the foreseeable, you need to decide if the £30 difference is worth it.
I definitely feel like I’ve been scalped.
Steel legend pricing today has been a joke and very unfair
£569
£649
£569
Now £659.
We’re dealing with hourly inflation.
I honestly don't know. All i know is when AMD recommends an MSRP it doesn't include vat or such as everywhere in the world is so different.import duty? does that come into it?
£60 Kieran as msrp was £569.99
Holy based, let this guy cookExactly, you feel like a chump. I got really angry when I caught them changing the price of a 5080 SKU several times within a few minutes.
I would return it if I were you, it's important to feel good about any purchase. I don't want to look at the card in my case and remember the feeling of being ripped off.
I bought my 5080 at price I felt was pretty good, it was in stock for more than 10 nanoseconds, so I could pay attention during checkout and with no adrenaline rush. Now when I look at it, I only have happy thoughts.
It doesn't matter whose fault it is, AMD/NVIDIA/Distributors/Retailers, they can all **** off for making GPU launches so negative and stressful.
thats upto aib's. retailers have no say, it would depend on sales at the new msrp tbh, sales drop price will lower."MSRP pricing encouraged"
That's the point I was trying to make - context for it is in my post before that.thats upto aib's. retailers have no say, it would depend on sales at the new msrp tbh, sales drop price will lower.
