Further to this, it seems that DPD haven't actually lost the parcel - they just omitted to either log location scans or upload those scans to their system - as "as if by magic" when I checked first thing this morning there are now six new location scans for the parcel, two of which took place on Saturday, then nothing for over two days until there were another four in quick succession just before I posted this yesterday.Due to the unexpectedly lengthy transit time from Hub4 to local depot I initiated a chat in the DPD app - and they advised me that as the parcel had not been scanned in the last 24 hours that a formal investigation should be raised. I now haz a sad.
