Paradise (Disney+)

The only thing I noticed that gave it away was seconds before the big reveal there was a sign in the background saying "Dawn will be delayed tonight" or something to that effect.

I was thinking WTF does that mean and then it all made sense

Well that whole series was damn good. Loved the reveals and getting blindsided how things panned out. Can recommend Last Light in a similar vein (J.K Simmons, Sissy Spacek).

After some googling I realised you actually mean a show called Night Sky, on Amazon Prime. I was gonna watch it a while ago but never did due to it being cancelled after 1 season.

Haha. You're absolutely right. Last Light popped up on my to-watch list and must have temporarily took the controls. Night Sky is what I meant. Decent show and won't leave you in the lurch it being only 1 season.

**** the bed e7 was good. I dunno what you guys have for sound on your TVs but mines quite bassy and that constant up and down back beat was intense.
Great acting for a TV show.

The main story though jeez extremely lol cheesey. Ill be honest a bit of a let down in E8. Borderline *****.
Time to get dogmeat and don the T-60 power armour.

That's good enough for me. I don't really remember what the premise of the show was, so I can go in blind like Paradise.

Completely agree with that beating soundtrack thumping away in the background. It added so much to that superb episode.

Great show until.... Episode 8.

The reveal was rubbish, didn't make sense. There wasn't any big conspiracy. Sinatras assassin girls motivation didn't make sense.

It worked amazing as a detective cop style show, where I'm doubting everyone, questioning alligiances all the time, but in the end there wasn't really anything going on. Just the killer was the killer and that's that.

I always knew that after the "who killed the pres" story was revealed, the true story of this show would come about, but I was hoping for more.

8/10 episodes 1-7
4/10 episode 8

Binged the last 5 episodes of this yesterday - thoroughly enjoyed it, one of the best shows I've seen in a while.

Yes the ending wasn't quite as good as the rest of the episodes, but it certainly wasn't bad.

Soundtrack throughout was great, with most of the music being featured in the episodes in some way, and then another version overlaid at the end of the episode as background music was also genius.

Yep, the music was done amazingly.

The highlight for me was the end of episode 2 with:

Just finished this, episode 7 was an obvious highlight but I agree with several saying some of the overall plot elements felt very contrived and rushed. A lot of characters felt extremely shallow and underdeveloped, just plot devices rather than people.

Just finished it, really enjoyed it. Music was used brilliantly. Hopefully there'll be a season 2 and it won't go totally off the boil

As others have said just finished watch the penultimate episode, one of the best I’ve seen in a while. They really did manage to portray the scale of what was happening and the emotions that everyone must have been feeling. I’ll be watching the finale tonight, S2 confirmed.

Finished the show, and thought the ending was a bit meh, particularly after the brilliant 7th episode. Loved the theme music used, though not the reworked "classic" songs.

Have to echo the above, the ending was a bit flat but the music used throughout was top notch. Will watch season 2 for sure

just feels like under the dome again. cant see it being a long run series. give it a 6 from what i seen. like under the dome or any similar show ooh what if we get out. when they do shows done. so they just prolong going out till it ends.

Don't think it is intended as being a long running show - though I can see 1-2 ways they could take it to add another story layer. It is a lot less whacky than Under the Dome which is a plus as I didn't like that aspect of it.
