The Radeon RX9070XT / RX9070 Owners Thread

Some Steel Nomad Testing Results to show the effect of changing the different settings.

For me the Core Offset does nothing when setting to a positive value but helps stabilise the above 3.4Ghz boost when set to negative.

I threw in a couple of 50% static fan profiles to show how cooling effects performance.

Mem above 2760 Fast timings had no extra performance and above 2800 had a negative impact.

First scored entry is trying to simulate a reference clocked none OC card with reference power limit.

Run on the system in my Sig. Steel Nomad required a higher core voltage to be stable than the games I currently play.

NOPE means it wasn't stable enough to run multiple runs.

Well done this is excellent work. When mine finally turns up I’ll give this a go.
Echo's the well done and excellent work and throw in some bravo's..... but I'd never give this a go.

for those who overclock the vram check with memtest_vulkan-v0.5.0 , you might be surprised there will be errors
for voltage offset i find best steel nomad 10-20 loops for stability , again all of you who downvolt -100 or more expect crashes in here
i was not seeing errors at 2680mhz with memtest_vulkan-v0.5.0 but by watching fps i felt memory corrections were happening at 2780 so i had to further reduce 100 mhz to get rid of the errors
as for the negative core offset i was reading on another forum that improves core clock speeds abit , never tried it though
i think i am stable -85 voltage offset , 2680 memory , +10 power limit
the gigabyte gaming OC clocks pretty good and draws about 360w even though i saw some jumps to 390w sometimes?
can anyone with high end model post 3dmark links to his speedway or steel nomad scores , i want to see the core clocks
mine are
speedway Clock frequency 3,193 MHz (2,520 MHz) Average clock frequency 3,140 MHz
steel nomad Clock frequency 3,113 MHz (2,520 MHz) Average clock frequency 3,052 MHz

I've done a whole table in this thread and made a separate post documenting those changes and effects in steel nomad as it seems the best benchmark to highlight issues.

ignoring my CPU score as i have HT and 4 E-cores disabled
with a very dirty overclock my none XT as matched stock XT speeds in time spy.

the GPY as been in my system 20 mins max.. very happy and thank good no coil wine

Give Steel Nomad a try. It's a fun challenge as it's extremely sensitive to core voltage.

I'm confused, On the OCUK store it says there are 4 models of the XT in stock, You click to buy and it then says out of stock in the cart, You go back to the main page with the models listed and it says in stock.

I iz confoozed.

Clear your cache, PLPs take a little while to update compared to PDPs

Still saying in stock but then when you click on the individual card it says out of stock but you can add it to cart on the prior page, Very odd.
You won't able to check out though will you? The checkout runs an availability check once an item is added - so even if you can add the item from a listing page, when you go to checkout it's going to say 'out of stock'.

It's just the PLPs are slower to update than the PDPs. I don't know what OCUK use to handle their PLP merchandising but we've used Klevu in the past and it updates at a slower rate than your PDPs - and the basket would always have an active stock check on.

Yep correct, It did get my hopes up though :D

Guys with a 57000x3d would you go 9070 or 9070xt? Don't want to pay the extra if the xt bottlebecks. I brought a xt for my Ryzen 7700 build but the second pc I have just ordered a 5700x3d upgrade from a 3700x so wondered which card to buy for 1440 (Have a old 3070ti I was going to use with 5700x3d but think I might as well sell and max it out since the 8 GB is starting to show)

I have a 7700 and just bought a XT, I guess I could do some msi afterscreenshots? Since mine isn't as good as a X3d, it should show up more of a CPU bottleneck than yours?

Apart from the 1% lows maybe because of the vcache, the 7700 is about on par with even the 5800x3d.They beat each other in different games, and certainly won't bottleneck
