Adolescence | Netflix

Believe it or not, It's not even really a show about knife crime.

Also:

It's not like it doesn't happen

Commentator: the average height for a woman in the UK is 5'04"

VincentHanna: That cant be corect because I know this one woman whoose 6'02"

Commentator: *facepalm*

Ultimately the reason thoose two killers got as much attention as they did was two fold:

1) their actions were exceedingly out of the ordinary and pre meditated, hence note worthy

Over 50 kids/teenagers were stabbed to death in the last reporting year and I doubt many could think of the names of even a few of them

And of course 2) the gender ideologues are desperate to prop up their hysterical claims of 'genocide' so were pretty much over the moon about this despite the murderers having a list, Ghey not being the 1st they tried to kill and none of the other targets having the same 'identity' as Ghey.

Answer me a question Mr. Culture wars?

Have you watched the series?

As I said earlier, it's not even a show about knife crime.

No it's goverment sponsored propaganda pushing distorted fears on society partly with the aim of softening the populace up for more laws that won't actually do much if anything to make the general populace safer.

Social media is an absolute cesspit, and unfortunately a lot of people get sucked into believing what they read online.

My own 64yr old mother is one lol the drivel she sometimes comes out with after reading something on facebook

We watched this over a couple of evening this week, I wouldnt say I enjoyed it enough to rave about it but it was well filmed and acted.

Says the walking collection of meme's...

Don't you find it just a little bit convenient that a partially goverment funded project, that depicts a rather unrepresentative story of violent crime in the UK, is then used to generate quite so much talk, including in Parliament, about what needs to be done to solve the 'problem'.
Partially funded how?

Are you are talking about tax credits that all high end UK productions get? Does that mean Marvel movies and Star Wars are government funded propaganda?

Watched it and when you know the area well something is filmed in it's interesting seeing how they set fake areas up like the police station in ep1 and the hardware store in ep4.

It was decent and props to them for trying something with the 'one takes' but not sure why it's blown up as much as it has.

Can't fault the actors for playing their roles but whoever wrote the script for the cops especially when they were interviewing did not come across as genuine or real in the slightest.

its blown up because of the agenda its trying to push with cyber bulling . basically this is going to end up being shown at schools for teenagers like we had to watch Kes :p

Yep, basically 90% of the comments in this thread too :D

It is rather entertaining seeing people just repeat something because they've seen it on the internet and can't form an opinion for themselves though, it just proves the point really.

Watched this last night in one sitting, incredibly good

Episode 3+4 were better despite 1+2 being more ‘interesting’ as details still trickle and you’re given some reasons to ‘sympathise’ with the murderer. Last minutes of both 3/4 are tough watches

Knew this thread would have been or eventually going this usual direction for ocuk lol

Yeah the final scene is really tough, and very well done imo

Watched this last night as was pretty disappointed considering all the hype. First episode was the best and the rest just seemed pretty slow / boring.

Just finished this and mostly agree. It didn't really explore the motives or crime as much as I thought it would, based on the trailer.

Acting was good, maybe there was a good story in there somewhere trying to get out, but this silly "one shot is soo cool" stuff ruined the narrative flow in my opinion. Style over substance.

5/10

Is this watchable if you haven't got kids?

Heard a lot of people talking about it. But the synopsis does not appeal to me at all.
