Daredevil - Born Again (Marvel TV) Disney+

Fairy snuff. I just don’t remember him doing it in the Netflix series.

No but he definitely does it in the comics that sequence was so much out of the comic.

Just finished watching Episode 2. Fairly slow but building the story then BANG WOW!

They definitely managed to capture roughly similar vibes from the netflix series which is good.
Didn’t they bring most of the Netflix people onboard to reshoot nearly the entire thing?

Yes (the actors at least) thats what makes it good imo. They probably made that decision when they made Netflix series canon in the MCU.

Reacher is a bit of popcorn tv when you just need something silly to watch and I can dip in and out per my mood. Daredevil, at least last time round, was a show that deserved a bit more attention.
I can see why its not pulling in the numbers so far for the wider Disney+ audience, but I like a bit of slow burn and Fisk is by far my favourite villain.

Episode 5 was boring, bank heists have been done to death
Episode 6 was much better!

But why are DareDevils fighting skills so crap against certain enemies that shouldn't be able to even touch him?

I largely agree with this, five felt very sloppy too in so many ways, it was very difficult to suspend my disbelief for almost the entire episode. If someone told me that the writing staff were all too hungover to finish the script and asked a random intern to fill in the gaps I'd honestly half believe it.

While I enjoyed episode six I feel like we're finally at a potentially interesting story arc but had to sit through 4-5 episodes of largely going nowhere. This could have been far more refined, the quality and genuine story driving elements we've seen in almost 6 hours so far could easily have been condensed into a two hour movie, and I say this as someone that enjoys slow burn entertainment.

The highlight of the entire season is a few minute long Punisher cameo that almost feels misplaced.

I am enjoying it but it does feel a bit disjointed, which given the way they rewrote it after filming started makes sense.

I guess his skills are a bit rusty after not suiting up for a while but it does seem to be inconsistent.

I put it down to him being rusty not being Daredevil for over a year... And he is blind..
