Surprised nobody else has picked up on the words duty of care to Lawson used by Redbull, oh the irony. You could dine out on that one for days on end.
I saw that and laughed.

Yuki for 1st place in Japan!!
that would be fun to seeQuite, he seemed very depressed and stressed in the post race interview so maybe they felt he isn't up to it mentally.Surprised nobody else has picked up on the words duty of care to Lawson used by Redbull, oh the irony. You could dine out on that one for days on end.
Max(and his dad) are not fans of all this extra curricular stuff either. Remember what happened with coco pops gate? I can honestly see him somewhere else next year to get away from this noise that seems to follow red bull around..Whichever way it goes RBR aren't coming out of it well.
Yuki does crap - Lawson's career has been decimated for nothing - RBR are going to look like utter ****.
Yuki does well - should'a been hired in the first place - RBR are going to look like utter ****.
What has given you that impression given past second seat drivers have, near enough, said the opposite?

You’re right, it would definitely make sense to stay and see what the 26’ RB will be like but I just remember them being really fidgety last time there was all this external noise.I think Max would be nuts to leave for 2026; he's likely got some contractual "outs" anyway meaning he can pick and choose when he leaves. He might as well stick around for 2026 and see which team does best with the new regulations.
There could easily be seats at Merc, Ferrari, Aston Martin, maybe even McLaren going for 2026 depending on other movement/retirements, etc

Yeh, that would be the smart play.
No team is realistically going to turn him down for 2027, so he's better off seeing who has nailed the new rules. He will be gutted if its Red Bull again and he's left as that may mean his chances of equalling or beating Schumacher/Hamilton go down the toilet.

But is two races insane?
They were getting berated (rightfully so) for sticking with Perez last year resulting in them losing the constructors.
Personally I think so. Three drivers in four races certainly is, when you look at it like that. But is two races insane?

Let's not forget how lucky RB are to have a sister team. They're proving their unfair advantage here by immediately having access to someone like Tsunoda who has driven 89 F1 races. No other team can do that without poaching someone from another team - which would be nigh-on impossible to do mid-season, let alone two races in. Otherwise they'd be floundering and would quite rightly say goodbye to the constructors race for real and they'd be in a whole heap of trouble. I wonder if Zak Brown might have something to say on that if Tsunoda performs well... Marko certainly is overly protected by the fact there are two teams. He would have been out on his ear by now in another team.
Merc could take from Williams and Ferrari from Haas with little to no resistance. Obviously not the exact same situation, but there's enough of a relationship there for them to lean on.Personally I think so. Three drivers in four races certainly is, when you look at it like that.

But it isnt like he is just struggling a bit though. He has been pretty much plumb last in all qualy sessions and made little progress in races, whilst his teammate has literally been in the top four for every session so far (qualy, sprint race etc).
Even if he can improve by a few tenths - half a second it probably wont be enough and he'll still be struggling to get in the points.
If he was at least getting in to q2 and snapping at the heels of the points or getting 9th/10th, then i would agree; give him more time. However, he looks REALLY poor out there.
