Alienware announces the AW2725DF and AW3225QF (worlds first 4k 240hz and worlds first 1440p 360hz QD-OLED monitors - launches January 2024)

Ordered the AW3225QF after taking some time considering between the Dell, Asus and LG 32' panels
Direct with Dell?

Is the AW3225QF a good deal at £756? My main issues (I expect) would be text clarity reading forums, articles and websites and VRR in Warzone - I do have a 4090 though so could cap fps to try and help the latter.
The full 4k 240hz will also never be achievable and DSC is needed

...Or I spend a bit more on something like the MSI MPG 322URX.

Aye but got the Dell rewards as well so £726, currently got a 5080 which I know will struggle

Spring10 should get you £56 off and rewards another £30. £481 seems like a great deal for the AW2725DF
Absolutely! I saw the spring discount that Dell have applied already which I thought was a steal, so with more added discounts like you've said, that monitor will be a great bargain!

I've been tempted to buy one second hand (the AW3225QF) but for one new for £70 more that includes a 3 year burn in warranty its a no brainer. I dont need to worry about my desktop icons melting into the screen for a few years at least!

I was also worried about OLED brightness but my Acer X34 IPS screen is around 300 cd/m²
The AW3225QF is 244 sustained. Slightly less, but then i've only ever ran my X34 at 29% brightness :D

So I managed to pick up the 27DF for just over £500. Should be arriving tomorrow.

Good price for this imo, looking forward to giving it a go.

The 34DW still treating me well but itching to go back to a 27
That's a great price! I always really liked mine, solved my text clarity/eye strain issues with it by just bumping up to 125% windows zoom and then hitting 300+ fps in games was just so clear and clean with this monitor.

I still use it every now and again - although should probably sell it at this point considering how little I use it compared to the 4k 240hz OLED.

Monitor arrived today, was going to try just a single monitor but decided to keep my Dell 27' as well. Stunning picture quality but will mess around with PQ over the next few days and my desk looks like a cable scrap yard so pics will have to wait

What do you think of it so far?

Is everyone using the ‘creator mode’ preset, gamma 2.6 DCI-P3 as per the reddit post?

I was a bit restricted on time last night due to an early network change in work this morning but initial impressions were excellent, really happy with the purchase.

I'll use those reddit setting later and report back

Great :) Let me know how you get on.
Mine arrives today. Will be interested to see how it handles general forums and desktop use in sunlight (indirect) My X34 is currently on 29% brightness and can easily see to write this with quite a bit of sun in the room.
I'll also give Gsync a good test to see how a 'G-SYNC Compatible' screen compares to one thats 'G-SYNC'
