1) That's a lot of money for a handheld
2) That's a lot of money for physical games
It's not just a handheld though, is it? Everyone I know who has one thinks of it as a TV console that has the bonus that you can take it with you, no idea how common that view is.
People still buy physical games? I dunno, game prices can't keep stalling for ever. Inflation alone is a 30% hike since 2017.
Yet marketing it’s mostly adults so it’s not just aimed at kidsIt's aimed at kids. That is there family market and is why they do what they do with restrictions.
My point is come Christmas... No parent is going to buy a switch2 for a kid and not get them a game to play.
at 120hz with that size screen on bright Nintendo games? no way. the power draw at 120hz would be huge.Doesn't OLED consume less energy than LCD?
Varies .... £80 for Mario, £70 for Donkey Kong. Looks like the latter will be the bare minum for 1st party games with the major IP's being higher. How much are the digital games, did they say?
That’s only if you buy physical-cheaper to buy digitally this time round.Varies .... £80 for Mario, £70 for Donkey Kong. Looks like the latter will be the bare minum for 1st party games with the major IP's being higher.

On darker content, something like BG3 in a dungeon OLED would shine on power draw.
Splatoon, mario, mario kart, Zelda where there is a screen full of bright pixels moving at 120hz the battery would draw real quick, look at the Asus and Lenovo AMD windows handhelds, you need a power brick.
Until you have spank a fortune on an expensive memory or two to store your digital gamesThat’s only if you buy physical-cheaper to buy digitally this time round.
Yup, the small capacity of micro SD express cards is an issue ... at the moment.Until you have spank a fortune on an expensive memory or two to store your digital games
What's everyone's thoughts on the Switch 2 using micro SD express cards ? As far as I can see 256Gb appears to be the largest size readily available .... I did find a Lexar 512Gb for £149.99 that I assume should be compatible, but isn't a partner company with Nintendo, who seem to be marketing Samsung and Sandisk cards.
For my uses, not sure 256Gb will be enough as I currently have a 400Gb micro SD card in my OG Switch which is almost full.
