Antec is back at OcUK!

I got a Flux non-Pro on Tuesday and built transferred my system to it yesterday, swapping my Lian Li Galahad for an Arctic Liquid Freezer 3 at the same time.

Great case to work with; the fact the top comes off makes AIO installation very easy, and the cable management option s are so good that even I have a neat build!

I do have an issue however, and that's that the front 3 fans make a clicking sound (I initially suspected it was the AIO pump). I'm going to contact Antec support to see if they can do anything about it, but if not I'll just swap them out for something else.

I've just built mine in that case, and have the exact same problem with the 3 x 120mm front fans. Like a tiny pneumatic drill noise on all 3 no matter the rpm set. @Kirby Wurm Did you manage to get in touch with support? I don't really fancy having to send the whole case back just to get the fans swapped! @Ace Modder would it mean having to send the case back? Thanks

I emailed [email protected] and explained the issue and they've asked me to fill in a form, provide proof of purchase and a video of the issue, after which they'll ship a new set. I haven't done that yet (not had the time) but definitely contact them.

My brother broke one of the velcro straps and they shipped one out as a replacement so support seems pretty good.

Great, thanks. I'll drop them a message! Must be a dodgy batch of fans, the other 2 preinstalled are fine though

Just for update. I emailed them just after I posted with a link to a video of the issue, and they replied super quickly last night. Said they will send out some replacement fans, just had to fill in the form and attach a proof of purchase!

So far so good!

That's the video, was yours the same noise @Kirby Wurm

If I bought the Antec C5 ARGB and I wanted to buy a 280mm AIO, could I remove the side fans to place it on a vertical position me put this fans that I removed in the top of the case.?
Would the wires of the fans be long enough to do that without needing extensions.?

Another option.....

Buy a 360mm AIO and fit that to the top of the case. If I did that, understanding it can depend on the rad and fan thickness, is there a decent amount of room to have access to where they typically place the motherboard power connections, top left usually.?

Anyone bought this case and care to give their opinion.?

Thanks

Link to my post. Went for the arctic freezer iii 360mm which has a thick rad and just about squeezed it in. Got to say no complaints 9months in

The AF III 420 is what I have, but a 360 would be needed. Still deciding on the compactnes C5 or the C8.

What did you mean about issues with the pump and fitting.?

Guess it is down to room with the large rad fitted, that would include the noted motherboard connectors.

Thanks

The mounting mechanism for the pump on the arctic freezer is a tad rubbish. After a quick google found that loosening the L and R brackets before securing the pump does the job.

But aside from that it's a great cooler, especially for the price!

Ah, I just didn't like having to remove the contact frame from my Z790 board to fit the AF III.

Rumors that an Antec Flux (variant?) related to Noctua are coming to Computex... How much is that going to cost us? :D :p

No in all honesty though, if it couples the fans with it, it can be a bit of a saving potentially; especially if you had designs to use Noctua fans in the first place (Although I guess which fans are included also makes a difference).

Could go many ways, so not going to take that bet. :p

Could see a Flux Pro (Black) with A12x25 Chromax Blacks. Flux Pro (White) with A12x25 (Beige/Brown), or even A12x25 G2's if they're coming at the same time. And given the size, a Flux Pro (White) with A14x25 G2's (Beige/Brown), or even the Flux Pro (Black) with to be released at the same time A14x25 G2's Chromax Blacks (fingers crossed).

Would be even better if it came with their Thermosiphon cooler, but I don't think that's ready yet. But would certainly make for some interesting collab combinations. :)
